omhper (25160) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - NOV 13, 2010
Draught at Hotel Victor, Prague. Cloudy deep golden, rich creamy head. Citric marmelady hops jumps at my nose. Mid sweet with rounded mouthfeel. Somewhat bready malt covered with ever present saaz hops; sweaty graåefruit and hay. Really bitter finish. Clean and solid, hoppy yet elegant, no trace of butterscotch. Tasty new wave Czech lager.

Dedollewaitor (16171) - Odense, DENMARK - DEC 22, 2012
Tap @ Zly Casy, Prague. As Zitny Special. Pours amber with a small creamy head. Lots of spices. Cardemum and caramel. Sweet. Medium bodied.

KyotoLefty (10268) - Kyoto, JAPAN - SEP 4, 2010
Draught at the Hotel Victor in Prague. Dark gold to amber color. Sweet, malty, some caramel, but very earthy too. Light and interesting. Sweet yet dirty, earthy, with a bitter finish. Fruity also, with a bit of orange and some honey and apricots. A bit too sweet, again, and rich, but flavorful. Really different and original.

MartinT (9880) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 24, 2008
My Bottom Line:
Honeyed cereals delve into dusty herbal hoppiness in this balanced and inoffensive Svetlé Lezak. This one sure won’t turn heads, but its idiosyncracies definitely point to this brewery’s signature and no one else’s.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-Thick foam dwindles into the hazy, orange-laced gold.
-The body is once again well built and the mouthfeel made for quaffability.
-Its hop bitterness is strangely not as compelling as that of their 10-degree’s.
-The malt personality could be better defined, to my tastes.

On tap at the brewpub.

Quack-Duck (9484) - Down South, GERMANY - JUN 1, 2009
on tap at Zly Casy beer festival. Slightly unclear golden yellow with a large white head. Malty nose. Full-bodied, malty-sweet with shy but nice hop flavours in the lingering finish. Bitter-sweet with the emphasis on the sweetness. A delicious full-bodied and well-rounded Bohemian Pilsener.

Cuso (8691) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - FEB 1, 2014
Handbottled from Richtar Jakub. Dark golden color with medium white head. Aroma of malt and honey. Taste, malt, honey, bee wax, long hoppy bitter finish.

Svesse (8601) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - SEP 9, 2012
(Draught at Zly Casy, Prague, 25 July 2012. 4.2%) Golden amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with toast, orange, apricots and herbal hops. Malty, fruity taste with notes of apricots, orange, toast and a generous grassy, herbal bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Very tasty and in excellent balance. Very nice beer.

(Rating #1527)

motelpogo (7704) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - JUL 2, 2012
on tap at zly casy, as chyne zitny. i was just about to enter this as a new beer but i guess this must be the one. anyways, somewhere between brown and amber with a large off-beige head; plenty of honey rye in the aroma with a bit of swimming pool; a bit on the sweet and sticky side but with an interestingly almost nutty character, could be excellent with more grassy hop character

jfb (6270) - GERMANY - JUN 17, 2010
(draught) pours a hazy golden colour with a dense creamy off-white head. aroma of floral hops, summer pastures, some spices, pale malts and light cardboard. flavour is very grainy, with some notes of citric hops and banana. medium-bodied with smooth carbonation.
