Draught: Dark brown coloured. Dense chocolatish head. Cocoa, malt, some light roastyness in the aroma. Very smooth and malty flavour. Notes of chocolate. Has a medium bitterness in the end. Good one. MartinKubert (862) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JAN 7, 2004
Sweet aroma. Bitter start, sweet middle malty flavoured finish. The palate has some fruityness and somewhat roasty. fiulijn (20427) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 30, 2003

Dark amber color; creamy head. Peculiar aroma for a stout, with cherry notes! Smooth and very original, with a very light sourness, something undefined, as black fruitness; roasted malt character; light peaty flavor, whisky-like. Very original stout!
Draught, 0.5 L in a snifter glass. Nearly black, with few bubbles (nitrogen?). Had a creamy, light brown head which appeared able to last forever. Both aroma and flavour with lots of chocolate. Chocolate was very dominant in the flavour which did not show much bitterness. This and the sweetness completely disguised any presence of alcohol. Mouthfeel was creamy. Excellent, but I probably won't drink more than one per evening. mwesth (279) - Skovlunde, DENMARK - SEP 6, 2003
Very much like Guinness, but more fruit and chocolate. I wil have this again, very nice!

Actually quite liked this, rich, chocolatey, bitter. Nice roastyness on the finish. (Cask- GBBF 03') Nuffield (4169) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - AUG 13, 2003
Little head, even with a vigorous swirl. Rogue-like hop aroma, moderate body, smooth with little carbonation. Slightly sour element in there but otherwise a mild roastiness. Drinkable. (handpull at GBBF 2003) rauchbier (3882) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - AUG 10, 2003
Cask (handpull) GBBF2003. Black/brown, moderate of white head and low condition. Faintly roasted aromas, more roast in the mouth with some chocolate notes and a little too sweet in the finish.
bierkoning (13299) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - AUG 10, 2003
Somewaht smoky toasty aroma. No head at all. Medium bodied, but with a bit watery texture. Somewhat harsh hops and lots of licorice, blackcurrant and laurel. Long buttery toasty finish, almost creamy. Lacks carbon, this beer is about as flat as a lambic. larsniclas (7040) - Billdal, SWEDEN - MAY 4, 2003
The right stout-look; creamy head, very black.
A quite dry palate with a taste from really dark toffee, almost burnt.
