Draught, 0.5 L in a snifter glass. Nearly black, with few bubbles (nitrogen?). Had a creamy, light brown head which appeared able to last forever. Both aroma and flavour with lots of chocolate. Chocolate was very dominant in the flavour which did not show much bitterness. This and the sweetness completely disguised any presence of alcohol. Mouthfeel was creamy. Excellent, but I probably won't drink more than one per evening. madsberg (11776) - Søborg, DENMARK - MAR 20, 2004
Draught: Dark brown coloured. Dense chocolatish head. Cocoa, malt, some light roastyness in the aroma. Very smooth and malty flavour. Notes of chocolate. Has a medium bitterness in the end. Good one. omhper (25831) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAR 29, 2002
Black with creamy head. Medium bodied, very dry, very bitter. Quite similar to Guinness. fiulijn (21471) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 30, 2003

Dark amber color; creamy head. Peculiar aroma for a stout, with cherry notes! Smooth and very original, with a very light sourness, something undefined, as black fruitness; roasted malt character; light peaty flavor, whisky-like. Very original stout!
Very nice. Bottle kindly supplied by the Beer Nut.

Smoke, coffee, some chewy graininess in the body.
Low carbonation, goed flat.
But it is easy drinking, pleasant and smooth, the very opposite of the nitro stouts.
Very much like Guinness, but more fruit and chocolate. I wil have this again, very nice! onlyrocknroll (379) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - MAR 23, 2008
Black with a small beige head. Light gentle chocolate aroma. Slightly sweet chocolate flavour, little roasted bitterness until the finish which is quite dry with a strong trace of coffee. Full body and gentle carbonation. Overall a very nice, quite soft and gentle dry stout. Ungstrup (38595) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - SEP 26, 2002
A black beer with a black head. It doesn't have much aroma, but a smoked flavor and a good bitterness. Definately a good stout. Marsiblursi (3083) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - NOV 2, 2007
(Bottle) Pours dark brown. Heavy roasted aroma with tones of coffee beans, espresso, green pepper, parsley, sal ammoniac and cocoa. Some strange hints of pine. Heavy roasted flavour with notes of coffee beans, espresso and salt liquorice. Light oily and round mouthfeel with a dry finish. Medium full bitter. Medium bodied. Really good. Little head, even with a vigorous swirl. Rogue-like hop aroma, moderate body, smooth with little carbonation. Slightly sour element in there but otherwise a mild roastiness. Drinkable. (handpull at GBBF 2003)
