didn’t taste much like anything I’ve had in vienna, but still a drinkable beer from what was at the time Ireland’s best brewery. Sweet flavour with slight hoppy aftertaste. better on cask than keg (what isn’t!) but never tried on cask in the brewpub DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAR 12, 2006

[Cask conditioned] Amber coloured. A quite sweet and malty lager with notes of caramel. Rather thin finish. rauchbier (3891) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - AUG 26, 2003
Cask, GBBF2003. Amber gold, low head and low fine tingle of condition. Honey and sweet malt in the nose, grainy malt and more honey in the mouth and an oily finish laced with a prickle of hop bitterness.

Cask GBBF. Strong butter aroma and flavor with a bit of caramel. Apricot. Hoppy aftertaste. The butteriness destroys most other flavors. Pity.
