Bottle from World Market in Fairfield, CA. Poured a dark copper color with a large tan head. I was very surprised with how much sweetness this beer had. My wife, who doesn’t drink beer, liked it. Very sweet and malty with the flavor of carmel and dark fruits. If you like sweet beer this is for you. omhper (25742) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - DEC 16, 2007
Draught at the brewpub. Clear bronze colour. Fruity and lightly buttery. Fairly sweet with medium body and rounded dense mouthfeel. Low bitterness. A well made example of the style where there seems to be a have a lot of effort gone into creating an interesting malt character. STEPHENDR (478) - California, USA - JUL 27, 2006

A nice Marzen for me, expected much more sweetness in this one, but it wasn’t too sweet, a nice drinkable brew. My first beer from this brewery, I’d like to try more. elnadeau (786) - Laguna Niguel, California, USA - JUN 12, 2005
Pours orange-amber, almost no head, aroma is fruity, yeasty. A bit of a surprise, I found this somewhat tart fruity marzen to be quite pleasant, well rounded and quite drinkable.

Soft munich malt notes on the nose with a touch of caravienne. Clean and caramel forward with some mild nuts and bread. Good conditioning. Soft mouthfeel, semi sweet. Good session Marzen. AleDrinker (1089) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - MAR 5, 2005
Aroma is of carmel and roasted malt. Flavor is very sweet, carmel, almost cloying. Very one dimensional. Boring. Ray1975 (251) - Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, USA - JAN 27, 2005
pours a burnt orange color with very little head.. Has a bready and floral aroma. has a nice malty flavor with a bit of alcohol and yeast mixed in. Medium mouthfeel with decent carbonation. DarkElf (3066) - La Jolla, California, USA - JAN 2, 2005
(12 oz bottle: Cost Plus in La Jolla, CA) This is an odd one. It is less malty than I was expecting, and instead, it’s fairly sweet, floral, and oddly enough, surprisingly fruity. While not bitter at all, there’s still a light hops flavor in the background. The flavor remains virtually the same right through to the finish. The nose is sweet, fruity and floral, with vague aromas of malt and hops. Medium bodied, with a lingering sweetness on the palate. Pale amber color. Off-white head pours to an average size, but fades to a wide rim fairly quickly. No lacing to speak of. Not a great Märzen, but it’s pleasant enough if you enjoy your beers on the sweet side.
