E.J.Phair Pilsner is a Czech style lager. It is very well balanced, golden colored beer, with a malty profile and abundant saaz hops in the finish. It is both refreshing and satifying on hot summer days or any other time a lighter, flavorful beer is desired.

Bottled (thanks omhper!). Hazy yellow colour, mediumsized white fluffy white head. Aroma is fruity hops, salt water, malts and hops. Flavour is fruity hops, some malts and mild spicing. Wellbalanced. Long citrus frutiy aftertaste.

Bottled (6.1%). Clear golden, small firm head. Grassy nose. dry with dense, powerful, rounded mouthfeel. Lots of grassy hops. An oversized pilsener packed with flavour. One of the better American pilseners.

Pale yellow color, cloudy dishwater head. Fresh lemony nose. Very lemony-flowery hoppy flavor - this is very fruity American pils and certainly close to original European ones. Tickling hoppy and fruity flavor.

Aroma of sweet malt and grassy hop. Hint of spice. Slightly hazy gold color with a white head that filmed immediately. Thin to medium bodied. Sweet fruit. Then a bready malt. The finish is a bit bland, but it is reasonbly bitter. Given the fruitiness, this is suggestive of an ale.

Bottle poured a clear straw color with a lasting white head. Aromas of straw, bread, light citrus and some light spice notes. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of bread, light citrus and a hint of spice with a crisp clean slightly dry finish. One of the better pilsners I’ve had.

Draft. Golden beer with a big white head. Creamy mouthfeel. Noble hops and some malt in both the aroma and flavor. It goes down smooth (and creamy), but there’s a bit of a metallic taste to it.

Pours a clear pale golden with a large, possibly overcarbonated, frothy white head. Aroma has some candy-like sweetness to it that I wouldn’t expect in a pils. The caramel candy sweetness makes this drinkable, but not very well balanced or true to style. Not necessarily a bad beer, but one that could use some tweaking.

Light gold. Musty sweet aroma with a little florals. Dry and bready beer with a crisp hoppy finish.

Orange gold color. Small head. Aroma is malty and sweet. A medium bodied pilsner. Malts are nutty, fruity and fairly sweet. Hops are spicy and slightly bitter. Not a bad pilsner, it has some flavor and bite to it. Nicely balanced. Light and refreshing. A touch sweet and perhaps a touch watery, but a nice beer nonetheless. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
