COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Several years ago, these guys were kind enough to sell us their old brewhouse when they were upgrading to a new one and thus the story begins. These old converted dairy tanks had been used to make some award winning beers at Alesmith and now with us. AND what better way to honor these tanks than to brew a collaboration beer called Dairy Tank?? This delicious milk stout is sure to please and was brewed in the very brewhouse discussed above.

Bottle... Pours dark brown (nearly black) with a mid-sized, lightly tanned head. The aroma is evocative of brownie brittle soaked in espresso. I’ve never done it, but now I want to. Full-bodied and creamy with lazy carbonation. The flavor is big, hearty, chocolaty and bittersweet. Lengthy dark-mocha finish flanked by a burnt marshmallow aftertaste. Bottle provided by 50belair!

22 oz bottle poured into a snifter. Black with half a finger of tan head. Aromas of chocolate, caramel, lactose, subtle dark fruit. Tastes of dark chocolate, dark fruit, lactose, light roast. Medium body with a dry and slightly warm finish. Medium carbonation.

On draft. Near black pour, with a tan head. Lots of chocolate flavor, sweet lactose, licorice, dark chocolate, and notes of dark fruit. Not too sweet, decent.

This is a big one. The imperial in the name is well used. But still retains those base flavors you would expect from a milk stout. There is a filling cream note here and loads of chocolate to me. Great backstory on the tanks as well.

Bottle thanks to Rainer. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is strong dark chocolate, oak, and licorice. Medium mouthfeel with rich chocolate, and dark fruit, and black licorice. Very good.

P: Completely black with a small brown head. S: Heavy roasted malts, tobacco, lactose, sugar, irish cream, alcohol and mint. T: Roasted malts and lactose, a small amount of alcohol kicks in. M: Silky and creamy. O: Strong, but easy to drink, happy I finally decided to get this.

Bottle. Dark cola with a thin tan head. Aroma is dark fruit and bakers chocolate. Taste follows suit pretty closely. Medium sticky, chalky mouthfeel. Decent.
