Belgian-style ‘wit-bier’ or white ale has a light wheat base and is typically spiced with coriander and citrus peel. For a unique twist, we add rose petals as well. Manifesto Wit is pale straw-colored and slightly hazy in appearance, with invigorating citrus, floral, and spice aromatics. The light body and subtle sweetness of this beer accentuate the peppery flavor produced by the yeast. These lively flavors, combined with the slight tartness in the finish, create a crisp and refreshing experience. It’s sunshine in a glass!

Draft at Sprenger’s. Foggy yellow pour with commodious translucent head. Sulfur hits the olfactory apparatus first, but straw and vague green herbs push through eventually. Pancakes with marmalade flavors left me hoping for just a squidge more spice. Any more leavening would make the finish too sizzling.

On tap at the brewery, pint. hazy straw. I was surprised by this - a really good, fresh witbier. Well balanced, coriander, yeast and bready malt dominate. great wit.

On draft at Tap 25. It pours a hazy pale yellow color with a white head. The aroma is bright and lemony with some wheat and light coriander. The flavor has more lemon water, tangerine, strong wheat bread and light spices. It has kind of a watery body with a tangy lemon wheat finish. Tasty.

22oz bottle - I had never heard of Eagle Rock before, but after this bottle I want to dive into this brewer a little more! One of the better American made wits I’ve had in a while. Lemon and orange in the aroma, offset by some sugar cookies, honeydew melon, fresh bread and some coriander. Very lemony on the palate, a good heaping of yeast/bread flavor, light corriander with a hint of tartness. Very nice and easy to enjoy.

Somewhere: pours a pale gold with a white head. Aroma is spice, yeast, citrus, and wheat. Taste is hoppy and dry for a Belgian wheat. It is not too sweet, which is big plus. Light bodied. Refreshing, but still flavorful. ,lid aftertaste.

RedSox2004 (1970) - Pacific Palisades, California, USA - JUL 19, 2014
Hazy yellow gold with a one-finger frothy white head and nice lace. Aromas of wheat, grains, lemon, Belgian yeast and spice. Flavor profile includes wheat, bubble gum, lemon zest, coriander, and some grains. Light to medium bodied, moderate carbonation, prickly mouthfeel and a sweet and spicy finish.

bytemesis (9231) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - JUN 15, 2014
Tap. Pale hazy yellow, small white head, dissipates fairly quickly, some lacing. Aroma is wheat, lemon, coriander, floral. Flavor is light sweet, quite spiced, lemon zest, a bit of pepper. Minimal bitterness. Light body.

Chadski4 (170) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAY 13, 2014
Pour generates little to no head and no lacing. Floral and orange aromas with a hint of banana in the taste. Overall very restrained in all categories.

beerbaaron (2046) - Arizona, USA - JAN 12, 2014
Pours hazy medium yellow. Large frothy creamy white head. Aroma is wheat, citrus, lemon/light orange, touch of spice. Flavor follows. Light body, very soft and very very creamy. Light spice. Moderate dryness. Really comes together. Tasty, smooth, and super drinkable.
