Belgian-style ‘wit-bier’ or white ale has a light wheat base and is typically spiced with coriander and citrus peel. For a unique twist, we add rose petals as well. Manifesto Wit is pale straw-colored and slightly hazy in appearance, with invigorating citrus, floral, and spice aromatics. The light body and subtle sweetness of this beer accentuate the peppery flavor produced by the yeast. These lively flavors, combined with the slight tartness in the finish, create a crisp and refreshing experience. It’s sunshine in a glass!

Draft at Old Devil Moon. Hazy yellow with a lasting white head. Aroma is wheat, orange, coriander, the usual. Mildly sweet, a bit citrusy, very wheaty. Medium light body, quite drinkable. Decent but standard.

Hazy pale light yellow pour with a white head. On a warm day in Pasadena, this beer really hit the spot. Fruity, finishing slightly sweet. Really nice citrus and floral character.

May 15th, 2014 - Eagle Rock’s Manifesto Witbier is an affordable, refreshing beer. Like it’s cousin beers, the beer is slightly hazy, and heavily pocked with carbonation, more a geyser than a beer, though the head has made a very quick retreat. The aroma and flavor are mostly in line with the spirit of the wit, slightly sweeter, but checking the boxes for banana and clove.

On draft at the brewery. Pours a cloudy pale yellow gold with a white head. Floral aroma. Flavor of white pepper and hibiscus. Smooth finish.

[2/1/16] Draught at Hop Grenade in Concord. Cloudy golden. Aroma of wheat, coriander, a bit of citrus. Sweetish flavor with faint tartness, wheat, graininess, citrus, and bitterish coriander. Light to medium-bodied.

Draft at social brewery during the eagle rock tap takeover. Clouded yellow coloured pour with a lasting thin white froth. Aroma is doughy wheat, bready, orange, tangy. Flavour is composed of doughy wheat, bready grains, mineral, tangy apple. Orange zest. A little staling. Palate is flabby wheat, moderate carbonation, raw grains. Not much yeast character.

Marheb (5717) - San Diego, California, USA - JAN 13, 2016
(En fût au Public House): Le poid des céréales est important, très protéiné avec une bonne présence gingembre, à peine banane et assurément chair de citron. Très bon.

944play (415) - Santa Rosa, California, USA - DEC 16, 2015
Draft at Sprenger’s. Foggy yellow pour with commodious translucent head. Sulfur hits the olfactory apparatus first, but straw and vague green herbs push through eventually. Pancakes with marmalade flavors left me hoping for just a squidge more spice. Any more leavening would make the finish too sizzling.

RafeAU (629) - Los Angeles, California, USA - SEP 26, 2015
On tap at the brewery, pint. hazy straw. I was surprised by this - a really good, fresh witbier. Well balanced, coriander, yeast and bready malt dominate. great wit.
