Shared 375 ml. bottle with E on the back of Tart, no E on the back of Noir, and more in line with 7% than 4.2%, so the rate also lands here. Poured to a snifter showing a dark brown color, a modest layer of tan head foam that reduced quickly to a persistent ring, and light spots of lacing. The nose was a bit of roastiness, earthiness, oaky woodiness, dark fruit & skins, a touch of vinous character, and dryness. Medium bodied, with soft carbonation, the taste was somewhat similar notes, tart & tangy, with some dryness & earthiness to the finish, but not as expressive as the aroma. More effervescence would have helped. slowrunner77 (12044) - Reno, Nevada, USA - APR 16, 2016
Very clearly with an E on the end of tart, so putting it here.
Like the red headed stepchild of Consecration. Has the look and the dark fruit wine oak notes down. Nose is really nice. Flavor almost follows through with some oak, fruit, leather and tobacco, but the feel is just a little thin and flat. yngwie (17053) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 16, 2013
On tap at Stone 17th anniversary party. Clear, dark brown body and a small, dense beige head. The aroma is light vinegarish, with raisins and a hint of caramel. A bit soapy on the palate, medium bodied and with a pleasant carbonation level. Raisins, vinegar notes, lemon hints and some caramel in the flavor. Long finish with vinegar and caramel. One dimensional and quite uninteresting I think. 130816 Meilby (11495) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 16, 2013

On tap at the brewery. Pours with a black body and a tan head that leaves very nice lace. Aromas are of brown sugar, lots of wood, vinous, low roast and medium sour and funky qualities. Flavors are tart and sour, vinous with some tannic oak and dark fruit. Rounded acidity and low esters. Medium carbonation, slightly bigger body, good acidity with low levels of acetic acid.
