Cask at paisley beer fest. Alround rating: Honey, pale malts, grassy bittering hops. Standard session bitter.

Cask handpull at Victoria, Earl Soham. Pale copper, thin off white head. Quite a hoppy session bitter, some toffee malt, good dusty drying finish. Some apricot fruit. Rather a nice session beer that has certainly got good hop.

Cask, gravity dispense, at Wellington Arms Beer Festival ’07, Bedford. Golden amber with a small white head. Malty taste and some sourness. A wheaty background taste, but a bit thin. Low bitterness. So-so.

Bottle August 05 picked up from the shop near the brewery. Another Earl Soham beer which fails to excite me, light brown in colour, quite hoppy and with a reasonable bitterness present throughout, it’s fine.

Cask Stillage at the RUFC, Macclesfield 10/05/2003 Golden coloured and slightly wheat flavour. Lasting hop finish.

Bottle Conditioned. This was a gift from chris_o. An out of date British bottle conditioned beer. Hmmm. Thanks Chris! Anyway, the hops have not survived. And there is the expected sharpness. Beyond that I can detect the possibility of this being a nice beer. But at the moment this is siimply a drain pour. Average mark given.

chriso (7569) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 8, 2003
Light copper colour. A very hoppy session bitter with a sweetish edge. Quite nice. Handpump, Station Hotel, Framlingham, October 2003.
