Pours a bit light for a dubbel- a light amber mostly clear with a somewhat lasting off white head. Aroma is nutty, toasted malts, somewhat harsh phenolics and black pepper with some fruity esters in there. Lighter malt flavor than expected as the spicy phenolic yeast takes control adn gives a spicy almost hot- peppery burn- sugar and sweetness is subdued throughout. Finish is a bit too dry and prickly. hopdog (12341) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 24, 2009

On tap at EB&B. Pours a lightly hazy amber/orange with a smaller off white head. Aroma of candi sugar, some dark fruits, caramel, yeast and a touch of alcohol. Flavor of some dark fruits, berries, candi sugar, grainy malts and light citrus. A little thin. JB175 (1665) - Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 29, 2008
Absolutely my favorite new dubbel - Amber color with a sweet aroma of raisin, fruit, spice, and mild citrus. Flavor has a gentle dose of hops to match some sweet brown sugar and bread. Good dubbel without a crazy amount of sugar or Alcohol! blipp (9146) - La Mesa, California, USA - NOV 20, 2008
Draft. Pours red orange with a white head. Yeasty and fruity aroma with banana/cherry/raspberry. The flavor is again fruity with banana and raspberry, yeast, spice, and a touch of hops in the finish. Nice.

Poured a hazy red amber color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of raisins, yeast, dark fruits, Belgian yeast, cherries, and a bit of alcohol. Taste of dried fruits, yeast, raisins, citrus fruits, light roast, a bit of cocoa, and some alcohol in the finish.
