COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Big Hop IPA the first of the brews from Pittsburghs newest and MICRO-est microbrewery to hit the streets. Truly, a hopped-up American IPA with loads of Centennial and Cascade hops, and just barely enough malt backbone to balance it out. Our flagship brew.

On tap @ Beer Temple. Orange/amber color. Off white head, good lace. Aroma: sweet malt & resiny hops, nicely balanced. Flavor is medium bitter and lightly (malty) sweet. Body is fuller than I expected from 5.8%. Firm bitter finish. Nice!

On tap at Beer Temple. Hazy golden colour, dense rocky white head. Aroma of dusty malts, flowery hops, oranges, citrus. Flavour is malty, dry, dusty, oranges, flowery hops, citrus bitter finish. Medium bodied. Really enjoyable beer, reminded me of XX Bitter. Good.

Not overwhelming or excessive in the use of hops and a pleasant, non-bitter aftertaste. No recoil on the nose.

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2013 A: Orange-amber body with a moderate fluffy off-white cap... decent retention but mediocre lacing S: Bold, assertive pine and grapefruit bitter notes, slight sweet malt backbone T: Less profound than the nose, but decent none the less... unfortunately doesnt live up to the "big hop" name... decently balanced malt-hop ratio, and subtle pine and grapefruit notes... not particularly bitter M: Smooth, medium-light body, somewhat rounded finish O: Decent all around ipa... not as complex as the big boys, but a good drinker nonetheless

Draft @ Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Pours a hazy orange color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty hoppy citrus aroma. Fruity malty hoppy citrus flavor with hints of caramel. Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter finish.

an interesting IPA enjoyed a touch after its prime. Poured a dirty brown orange with a nice hop profile. Solid beer, would love to try it fresh.

Fad: Orangegul uklar l med et flot skumhoved. Duft af humle, citrus og en smule fyrre. Klassisk amerikansk. Meget fyldig alkoholprocenten taget i betragtning. Fornem l.

My kind of beer. I wish it was more hoppier. But, nice hoppy aroma, good hoppy sweet brew. Good balance, good co2 mix. Well done!!

Decent and refreshing big IPA, but pales in comparison to the juicy west coast IPAs Ive been drinking lately.
