Very nice IPA. Well balanced. Malt early followed by the hops. Nice dark amber. Aroma is mostly sweet malt. Good stuff. MrBunn (2807) - The Wet Side of a Dry Town, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 20, 2009
On tap at East End. Pours an orangish amber with a pretty substantial head. Nose is full with hops goodness. A lot of citrus and a little bit of floral hops are there. Flavor is excellent as well. Lots of balance between the malt and hops with a bit more of a pine/grapefruit in the finish. Acetobacter (816) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 28, 2009
Enjoyed via draft. Probably the best beer from East End. Nose is dominated by American hops. I noticed some complexity in terms of hop flavor, but not as much as the best examples of the style. I would have liked to see a little more hop flavor on the back end, along with slightly more malt complexity. Not outstanding, not awful. auerbrau (3203) - Ithaca, New York, USA - MAR 18, 2009
On tap at Sharp Edge - Pittsburgh, PA. Pours a heavily hazed peachy-orange, with a soft silky white rim. Nice juicy hop aroma, with a little candied orange and some canned pineapple juice. Flavors heads a little downhill, with a rash bitterness and some slight buttery isovaleric. A touch coarse and biting, with some weird fruitiness that may come from the yeast or other weird off-flavors. Not my favorite. A bit overly sugary. On tap at The Map Room. Pretty orange with a small white head. Nose is tea-like, sugary, with minor bitterness and fruit. Flavor is similar, a little grain and bitterness showing but not much fresh hop. Not innovative or memorable, it’s still a nice one.

Courtesy of Juart from a growler. Pours dark amber orange color with an off white khaki colored head. Aroma of sticky citrus brown sugar with a slight floral apricot or mango. The bitter is huge in this. A little grainy with some fruity character. A slight butterscotch background. I must say that it is slightly unbalanced. Body is medium, but solid. A little roasty-ness to it as well. dpjuart (1112) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 20, 2009
Growler pour courtesy of Nate. Pours Orange with ruby and amber hints and a frothy, off-white head. Nose of grassy, citrusy, piny hops with some mint present. Body is medium watery, with a solid caramel backbone and slight chocolate notes. Moderate bitter with citrus and piny hops, lemon and grapefruit. Dry finish with mild resiny character. Such a solid IPA, especially fresh. dmtroyer (431) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 14, 2009
Draft at Sharp Edge. Textbook IPA. Pours a lovely orange with a dense and thin white head. Aroma is everything you would hope for, grassy, citrusy, hoppy, minty. Body follows with similar flavors, little to no harshness or alcohol and a an off-dry finish. Goes down smooth. Best IPA in Pittsburgh, underrated. gsmitty80 (2130) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 30, 2008
A normal IPA, nothing to write home about, but not horrible either. Has some hops but they arent that acidic, smooth and drinkable. Rciesla (5499) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - OCT 31, 2008
Draft at capones. Pours a golden orange body with a thin white lacing. Sweet and then fruity with grapefruit, pine, and citrus. A clean hoppy finish, decent brew.
