COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Big Hop IPA – the first of the brews from Pittsburgh’s newest and MICRO-est microbrewery to hit the streets. Truly, a hopped-up American IPA with loads of Centennial and Cascade hops, and just barely enough malt backbone to balance it out. Our flagship brew.

hazy burnt gold. 1 finger off-white head.Aroma is mild on this one, fairly dank with juice and pine and some mango. Hey, this is pretty darn good. Crisp, very light with a great hop balance, sweet without being cloying, good doughy malt character. very well done.

UPDATED: NOV 1, 2015 Sampled on draft at Smokin? Joes in Pittsburgh this beer poured a orange-copper color with a small yellow-white head the left decent lacing. The aroma was tangy and sweet yeastiness, grapefruity hops and a touch of pine. The flavor was bitter with nutty malt with a solid grapefruit and pine hop presence followed by sour toasted caramel. Long finish. Medium body and fairly smooth. Nicely quaffable.

I was very impressed by this beer. It was nicely balanced without the usual overpowering hop presence. This is an easy drinker which I’ll definately be looking for again.

Pours cloudy yellowish orange. Aroma is very hoppy, a bit misleading. Taste is also hoppy, but mellowed out by malts very well.

Sampled at East End. Poured cloudy golden amber in color with large sticky head. Aroma of piney hops. Taste is of good piney hops, grapefruit, and orange peel. Not over the top hops, but very drinkable and very nice.

Draft @ Hop House - Pittsburgh. Cloudy orange color wit a sticky lacing head. Malt sweetness in the aroma with some fruity hops also. Flavor begins a nice mixture of malt and hops, then leads to a burst of hop bitterness and resinous finish. A pleasant surprise.
