COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Southern English style Nut Brown Ale with a bit of chocolate character to it. Dark in color, but light in body, and leaning toward the sweet malty side. You'll really have to look for the hops in this one.

Sampled at brewery during rbsg. Pours brown with beige head. Nose of roasted malts and some nuts. Medium body. Flavor same as aroma and there is a dry bitter nutty finish. Quite nice.

very dark red to brown color. 2 finger yellowish head. Smells like an amber ale on the aroma. solid carb, german yeast strain or maybe even english. I like the toffee bar sweetness at the end with molasses, honey, spearmint and cheerios. nice!

UPDATED: SEP 7, 2015 Pours a nice brown color. Nutty aroma with sweet malt. Body is light and somewhat thin but very smooth. All of the nice nutty flavor hits the tip of your tongue and tingles then lingers there for awhile. Nice refreshing and relaxing beer. Sit back and enjoy. Not over powering but flavorful enough to want more. No harshness or bite to this one. After the sample I got on the tour I got a Growler to go! I tried some from the growler after I got home. It was much darker in color and had more nutty flavor so I increased my rating score a bit. This is something you could sit and drink all day and not get that bloated feeling.

The slim pickings at the hotel bar included this draft which reminds one of an English style brown ale that has taken the long trip overseas. While sessionable with some flavor it feels like a few core pieces are missing that would make it stand out.

Aroma / Appearance - A chewy brown base builds under an ivory head. Light legs help release the nutty malts, chocolate, and dry oak that smell a bit like a candy shop.

Flavor / Palate - Malts, iced tea, and light chocolate fill the mouth with a robust body. The creamy transition continues the trend into a refreshing finish. While more New World than Old it at least offers a positive alternative to the likes of Bud Light and Miller.

12 oz draft at Bella Notte in Pittsburgh. Nice nutty taste with a very good sweet/bitter aftertaste. Could have been a bit heavier in gravity.

Transfer from BA review on 4-3-12 - Served in 10 oz chalice glass Appearance Served a medium brown colored body with a light tan head. The head faded fast giving way to very little lacing. Smell - The nose is of light roasted malt mixed with a bit of caramel sweetness. Taste The taste was of dark bread and lightly roasted malt flavor with some caramel sweetness. There were hints of nuttiness mixed in with the taste as well. Mouthfeel A medium bodied beer with a moderate level of carbonation. While only a medium bodied brew, with it only being 3.7 % abv, it is much creamier then would be anticipated, quite nice for its lightness. Overall This is a very drinkable beer. Lighter in abv, but with good taste and actual quite a surprising feel to it.
