750 mL bottle from the brewery, bottled 02-13. Pours a hazy red-brown color with a medium sized frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of toffee, caramelized sugar, raisin, dark fruit. The taste is toffee, raisin, citrus, bitter hops, maple syrup. Thin-medium bodied, slight lingering bitterness. alobar (3966) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 12, 2014
Pours chestnut brown with a creamy off-white head. Aroma of hops, nuts, and maple. Lots of hops in the flavor masking maple, dark fruit, and toasted malt. Nice beer. radagast83 (8624) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - MAY 18, 2013
Bottle shared by Noodleuser. Poured a dark brown color with a touch of wispy white head. Aroma had some spice - notes that were some toasted malts. Plenty of caramel notes. Not at all! SudsMcDuff (8538) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - MAY 16, 2013

750mL. Clear tea amber pour with yeast floaties. Weak head formation. Nose is nutty, hoppy, mild maple, dark cherry, prune. Taste is again quite hoppy for style, even piney, mild maple, orange candies. A bit medicinal with spruce, pine, orange cough syrup. Not cloying or sticky, quite the hop bomb for style. More in the imperial red category than Old Ale.

Bottle shared by Noodleuser: pours a clear dark copper amber with a spotty-lacing white head. Has a fresh resiny hoppy nose with lightly sweet biscuity malty notes. Starts with pretty good fullness and sweet dark caramel notes with a smooth grassy hoppy bitterness before a drier bittersweet finish. Really not the style, still an enjoyable ale. Bottle from Capone’s. Big lace. Hoppy ale, with signs of dry hopping. A sweet finish and a nice palate cleaner. solidfunk (9729) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - APR 21, 2013
Thanks to Sammy. Pours orangy brown with chunks of sediment. Some creamy top and lacing. Initial smell a little empty but aroma afterwards has malt, some hops. Finishes light bitter. Medium thick consistency. Bottle. charule (2302) - New York, New York, USA - APR 16, 2013
