RBSG16 Grand Tasting. Pours a deep black with a thin tan head. Big roast, cocoa, chocolate, sweet roast. Medium bodied, roast, chocolate. Long roast on the finish, chocolate and cocoa.

Draft sample at the brewery. Pours a dark brown color with a light tan head. Nose of chocolate. Medium plus bod shows the oatmeal. Flavor is roasted malts and a lot of chocolate. Finishes bitter. Quite nice.

RBSG 2016. On tap at the brewery. Very dark brown, aroma of dark fruits and meaty smoke. The palate presents dark malts, prunes, mild smoke. A touch over carbonated. Wasn’t expecting the smoke!

Black with some reddish edges. chocolate chip cookies, porridge, coffee bean aroma. gentle marshmallow smoothie carbonation, very dry overly burnt coffee bean flavors, bitterness from the beans lingers. oatmeal added a lot of depth but the coffee took it away.
