COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A perfectly enjoyable classic Belgian Trippel corrupted almost beyond recognition with a completely inappropriate amount of US hops. Only in America can such excessive excesses be fully appreciated, celebrated, and enjoyed...and for now, only at East End Brewing! To make this one a little more cellar-able, and a lot more portable, it’s going into the bottle. Limited run, available in October of 2006 at the brewery and a few select tap spots.

DocLock (10973) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 22, 2007
This one is almost identical to the La Chouffe Hoblein double IPA. It had a huge, odd shaped head that left wondrous layers of lace all the way down the glass, it had the smell and taste of a horseblankety, funky saison, a dry floral bier de garde, and a very hoppy, yet scrumptously fruity and peppery IIPA, all wrapped into one package. A true hybird of behemoth proportions, but steer clear if you are a ham-and-egger. Great complexity, and the bottle is a true keeper. I love this beer! Find yourself a generous Steeler fan, and get ya some right now!

Ibrew2or3 (8808) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - OCT 30, 2009
Courtesy of tpd975. Pours cloudy copper with a bit of tiny floaties and nice white head. The modest aroma brings a few malty notes mixing with apricot, oxidized prunes, spice and a bit of grassy to piney hops. The taste starts with a pleasing mix of grapefruit, pine and then apricot fruitiness. Midway the malts show up just pushing aside the other flavors enough to get noticed. Nice brew.

FROTHINGSLOSH (8069) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 12, 2008
Sampled from a 1 liter brown bottle this beer poured a murky ochre-amber color with an enormous white head. The aroma was sweet, fruity, sugary and yeasty with a decent undertone of grapefruit and pineapple. The flavor was tangy, butter and lightly fruity with notes of piney and fruity hops. A bit rough in the middle before finishing with a sugary sweet finish. This beer has a lot of nice elements but something did not quite click for me. Only a disappointment because I had been really looking forward to it.

BMan1113VR (7930) - Los Angeles, California, USA - APR 12, 2009
Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a small white head over a hazy golden body. Aroma of mango, fennel, pear, spices and vinegar-dill. Taste is coriander and spices, and quite bitter. Oily mouthfeel with light carbonation.

AmEricanbrew (6878) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - JUN 3, 2009
Courtesy of bu11zeye. Hazy light amber color with a white head. Mild grassy hop aroma with earthy yeast. Medium body. Yeasty, fruity, grassy hop flavors on a lightly sweet pale malt base. Good stuff.

5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - DEC 19, 2009
Bottle:   Dark straw, dull and hazy, large frothy white head, lots of sediment showing up on this one.   Heavy bready nose.   Felt a bit more Belgian but as it warmed it became much more American in its heaviness.   Seems somewhat bright.   Certainly more hoppy than your average Triple.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Does seem a bit heavy tho.   Decent, but rather American like.   Wished it were more floral.   Just a heavy heavily hopped American Triple.   Not bad but, not as delicate as I would have wanted.   Thanks Trey!

Awesome beer. This is a mix of a Double IPA and a Tripel and I don’t think they could have gotten it any better.
