Cask & bottle; Regular.
A special dry-hopped version was produced for the Pigs Ear Beer Festival 2011.

A classic, crisp, lighter ale. Hoppy, but not overpowering, it’s a pleasant session quaff.

Can from Ales by Mail. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of malted biscuits and light orange. Taste is more of the same. A little thin.

500 ml bottle, from Ales By Mail. ABV is 4%, Clear deep golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of grain, malts and toffee, a hint of fruity hops. The flavour has citrussy hops on a light body with some malts, but not sweet. Medium bitter aftertaste. Easy drinking.

Golden colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour have a lot of sweet malts. Light floral hops come through in the aftertaste.

500ml bottle - pours clear light golden with small white head. Aroma is nutty with some light hops. Taste is clean and dry with light hoppy citrus. Simple, clean - OK for a quick pint.

090717. Can at home (abm). Pours clear copper with a disappearing head. Aroma mild hops, caramel. Rather British feel to this. Honey like tone to this. Nothing offensive but dull.

Cask at The Albion Kingston. Some biscuity malt, a little toffee sweetness, some nuts, fairly light hop. Nice enough.

BlackHaddock (8097) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAR 25, 2017
Hand-pulled pint in The Codsall Railway Buildings on 24th March 2017. A deep golden body with a decent off-white head of foam. Nice blend with neither the hops nor malts overpowering the other. Maybe more hops in the nose and more maltiness in the taste but only marginally. Subtle aroma and flavours, but easy enough to quaff.

50 cl bottle @ home.
Pours clear golden color with a small white head. Aroma is quite clean malty and nutty with mild hops. Flavor is nutty dry and malty, mild orange notes, some bitterness, very typical English Ale all-in-all. Clean, simple, just not my kind of beer.
