Pours a lovely black with a small, creamy, beige head. Good lacing. Aroma is nicely roasted, light chocolate and good flowery hops. Low carbonation, fine creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is nice, lots of oatmeal, roasted, light chocolate. Nice and a heavy vinious finish.

Draught at EBF08. Catpiss and salami smoke aroma. Almost black colour, small light brown head. Smoky salami woody flavour. Creamy mouthfeel, very good.

UPDATED: SEP 29, 2008 Draught at European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. Almost black. Aroma of chocolate aniseed and brandy. sweet and spicy, thick and malty. There are chocolate sauce and syrup, but aniseed comes to dominate. Some tobacco linger in a salty bitter finish. [EBF @ Copenhagen, September 2008] Average creamy brown head that mostly diminished. Fair display of lacework. Pitch black color. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, mild liquorish. Fairly straight forward Imp Stout. Medium to full bodied with an average carbonation and somewhat thick mild alcoholic texture. Moderated bitter and sweet flavor. Burned malt and coffee finish. Dark brown look. Strong coffenotes in the aroma along with some clear eu hops. Flavor was mainly sweet again with notes of coffee and some roasted bitterness.
