The color is red copper and the head is creamy. The aroma has notes of caramel, fruit, malt and light alcohol. The flavour is moderately sweet with notes of caramel, malt, slightly spicy/fruity hops and alcohol. It’s well-balanced and goes nicely with lunch.

Bottle 500ml.

Clear medium amber orange color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, caramel, malt, earthy, brown sugar notes. Flavor is moderate sweet, light light acidic and moderate to light light heavy bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is lively - soft. Very carbonated. Bottle. [thanks Feldthaus]
Pours red brown with a small, fizzy, off-white head. Mild aroma, grainy, some chocolate, light metallic, mildly roasted, some walnuts. Highish carbonation, light and dry mouthfeel. Flavour is light yeasty, some cardboard, good chocolate, walnuts, some toasted caramel. Long, lingering malty dry bitterness. Actually quite fine, despite the cardboard.

Papsoe (25059) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 27, 2010
On tap. Pours an almost clear amber golden with a creamy beige head. Sweetish caramel aroma, a whiff of pumpernickel also. Quite full-bodied, sweetish caramel yet with a perfectly balancing hopping. A little warming alcohol in the finish. Straight and clean. 201110

Borup (15157) - Albertslund, DENMARK - NOV 22, 2010
Tap at Julebrygfestival. Brown colour with a beige head. Arom and flavour of caramel, fruit, yeast and spice.

Christian (13793) - Odense, DENMARK - NOV 22, 2010
Brown with a small off-white head. The aroma has a bit of a muddy character, with some yeast, DMS vegetable and caramel. Sweet with a touch of licorice flavour, but mostly yeast. I guess I’m quite sensitive to unclean, yeasty lagers

Pinball (12238) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 22, 2010
tap @ ekstra bladet juleølssmaging (wasn’t this on tap?) clear brown, small offwhite head. nutty and flowery aroma, faint fruity. flavor is betrries, dry caramel, sweet malts. faint spices. bitter from berries.

jesperhammer (4874) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 21, 2010
20-NOV-2010, bottle @Ekstra Bladets Juleølssmagning. Red/orange/brown (I cannot decide!) with beige head. Spicey, not overly yeasty for an X-mas brew. Sugary and fine. Light in taste for an X-mas brew. Slightly sour like most Ebeltoft I have had. A flaw? To me it does not go well with a bock...
