Amber and faint hazy. Has an off-white head, lasting. Aroma is sweet, caramel, hoppy notes, light spicy. Nice harmonic, both some sweetness and some spicy notes. Flavor is moderate sweet, light acid, moderate bitter finish. Some bread too. Faint floral notes too. Creamy texture and soft carbonation.

Maria (10211) - Thisted, DENMARK - JAN 1, 2011
The color is red copper and the head is creamy. The aroma has notes of caramel, fruit, malt and light alcohol. The flavour is moderately sweet with notes of caramel, malt, slightly spicy/fruity hops and alcohol. It’s well-balanced and goes nicely with lunch.

larsga (7608) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUL 31, 2011
Medium yellowish beige coarseish head. Clear deep dark brown body with light carbonation. Deep earthy caramel and dust aroma with roasty toffee notes. Dry-sweet roasty earthy cocoa taste with spicy caramel notes. Mid-bodied. Soft smooth mouthfeel spoiled by excessive fizz. Dry roasty cocoa and caramel aftertaste with dusty floral edge and syrupy rye crisp bread notes. Really nice and dangerously drinkable. (0.5l bottle from the brewery. Batch #125.)

Leighton (21879) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 10, 2013
Bottle at ChrisO Holiday Tasting, London. Pours rich ruby with a thick, off-white cream head. Moderate dry fruits in the aroma. Big sweet flavor with lots of bready malts. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sugary, bready malt finish, some dough, low bitterness. A bit sweet but OK - it is a dunkler bock, after all.

thewolf (12714) - Kolding, DENMARK - DEC 4, 2010
Bottle. [thanks Feldthaus]
Pours red brown with a small, fizzy, off-white head. Mild aroma, grainy, some chocolate, light metallic, mildly roasted, some walnuts. Highish carbonation, light and dry mouthfeel. Flavour is light yeasty, some cardboard, good chocolate, walnuts, some toasted caramel. Long, lingering malty dry bitterness. Actually quite fine, despite the cardboard.
