500ml Bottle - Copper with orangey tinges. Raisins, sultanas and some bready malts in the aroma. Fruity and malty taste with raisins, caramel, sultanas and hints of blackcurrant. The finish is moderately sweet with some slight metallic notes, but luckily these notes do not spoil things.

Minimally grainy dark malty aroma with a chocolate touch, very cautious hints of treacle. Taste is minimally sweet dark malty, cautious hints of treacle, minimally strawy overtones.

Beer pours out of the bottle in a deep dark brown colour with steady low head and medium body. Aroma of malt and leaves. Taste of malt, nuts, chocolate, woods and basement. Earthy finsih. Okay, but just not that easy enjoyable.

Nicht ganz einfach zu trinken und dabei einfach nur malzig und holzig. Leicht im Karamell mit ein paar Nüssen. Ganz ok.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Malty and strong aroma. Tastes spicy and strong, a bit alcoholic, finish a bit hard. Good beer!

Bottle MHD 28.5.12, consumed on June 4th - let’s hope she hold up! Nutty caramel nose, taste is only semi-sweet, sticky and harsh, fruit with caramel, nuts; hot booze in the medium body ruins it a bit. Flavorful. Very dark brown body.

Bottle. Quite malty, nutty, bready, with some sweet caramel notes. Finish shows some light grassy hop notes. A slightly sweeter German dunkel. Not too bad in the end.

Beershine (5224) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - AUG 3, 2009
Draft @ brewpub. Very stable off-white aerated head on a dark amber-brown clear beer. The earthy, fresh, minerally aroma is dry yet malty. Nice sweetness carries the body. Nice bready malts here. Quaffable palate but the lingering sugars do become a bit cloying.
