UPDATED: OCT 25, 2016 500ml Bottle - Golden in colour. Grain, biscuity malt and straw in the aroma. Biscuity and malty taste with bread, grain, caramel and an earthy and minerally bittersweet finish.

Bottle, from Hopfen & Malz in Berlin. Pours clear gold with fairly sturdy, sticky white foam. Sweetish, bready nose, light graham cracker, baby powder, faint DMS. Balanced sweet and bitter, both in moderation, unexpected juicy fruit/pineapple (hop selection?) in the backdrop, nice lingering spicy-hop-bitter aftertaste. I make sense of it as a rustic, eccentric Helles.

Bottle. Thanks Mark. Nice, creamy, light grassy hoppiness. Bit of biscuity malt. Easy drinking.

Bottle from Landbierparadeis. Malty nose, biscuits and bread, lemon, grass. Brilliant deep gold, clear, with a fine head. A bit of DMS in the mouth, honey, lemon. Decent but not great.

Bottled. Hazy pale golden, small head. Dryish with light-medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Slender bready malt. Mid bitter finish.

Draft at the brewery in Ebensfeld. Clear gold with a short white head. Simple pale malt impression is saccharine and corn kernel and honey. Medium-light bodied, lightly sweet with saccharine and saltine cracker flavor, it’s minerally and a tad salty with moderate bitterness. Thin and watery and short finish of simple pale malt and transparent (no flavor) hop bitterness. A little tart and sour in the finish with faint touches of vegetable DMS that become stronger as it warms.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes goldgelbes Bier mit ordentlichem Schaum. Geruch malzig, hopfig, grasig. Geschmack hopfig grasig, malzig, leicht würzig.

Bottle from Rewe in Ebensfeld drunk on the train to Frankfurt. Clear gold lasting white head. Has some malt interest. Bit light for a Landbier. Ok though. Some interest. Not much hop on the finish.

Ein klassisches Zwickel ohne große Ausreißer. Etwas Zitrus, Hopfen ein wenig Malz und eine gute Portion Trinkbarkeit. Ausgewogen und ordentlich.
