Brownish beer with almost no head and lots of small sediment. Skunky sweet aroma. Flavour is a bit acidic, sweet and flat. (Bottle 33cl)

490 from Asao, shared with Yves. 8% a clear brown color with a minimal head & a malty taste with distinct maple syrup notes. The taste is quite sweet with an interesting interplay between malty caramel & maple syrup. The sweetness isn’t cloying but does linger in a lasting aftertaste which is fairly pleasant. Possibly best served with something to mitigate the sweetness a bit.

330 ml bottle. BB 20/08/2014. From bierzwerg.de. Dark murky brown colour with a small tan head. Apple juice, berry pie and sweet malt in the aroma. The flavour is sweet sugary, mildly dry woody and malty. Not very tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A lot of maple syrup in this. Mixes ok with the Belgian style. I’m not sure this entirely works though - too syrupy and sweet for me, but then again I’m not a big maple syrup fan. Finishes very sweet, syrupy consistency. Ok lacing and head. Bottle from Viti.

Gerbeer (3750) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 7, 2013
330 ml bottle. Date not on bottle but I suspect it’s a couple of years old. Pours dark brown with medium head. Aromas of nutty brownies, brown sugar, roasted malts, some dark fruit and spice, Flavors of nuts and vegetables, dry brown sugar, heavy malts. A little oily

Piękna czapa piany i brązowo-machoniowy kolor. Kanadyjski słodkawy syrop pozostaje nawet na dnie butelki a po zmieszaniu i wlaniu jest jeszcze bardziej dominujący. Alkohol ukryty starannie

Geruch ziemlich süß, Gewürze, erinnert an Wein, Hagebutte. Süßer Start. Mitte Gewürze, Zimt, Trauben. Abgangs Malz, wieder gewürzig und leicht bitter-trocken. Ok.
