Bottle @ KBF in Geel. Deep dark brown beer, off white head. Aroma of maple syrup, brown sugar. Flavour is sweet, maple syrup, alcohol and a bit of eucalyptus and cloves. Sticky sweet finish.

Light brown coloured beer with small off white head. Herby (cinnamon) spicy aroma. Full sweet palate. Finish is sweet little dry and herby. Nice one.

33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden amber with a collapsing and creamy tan head. Mild spiced and slight malty aroma. Mild citric to apple fruity too. Dense sweet flavour with a distinct spice note. Cardemomme and cinnamon dominant flavoured. Sweet and spiced finish.

faroeviking (11119) - Chupando chellas es como ellas, FAROE ISLANDS - SEP 9, 2008
Botella. Hazy red-amber colour. Sweet spiced deep malty aroma. Quite spiced flavour with mildly roasted malt and caramel along with a pleasant bitterness. A beer for Christmas.

Hazy brown with large beige head. Spicy aroma with roasted malt and caramel notes. Sweet flavour with roasted malt, cardamom and cinnamon notes. Ends sweet. Reminds of a typical Danish Christmas cake.

LordCorkscrew (1774) - Ronco Scrivia (GE), ITALY - AUG 29, 2008
Presa da Pier al Duca il 24 sera; un’altra ottima birra ’calorosa’ di Ecaussinnes, con dolcezza non stucchevole e una complessità notevolissima.

BoBoChamp (5755) - Gent, BELGIUM - JUL 26, 2008
33cl, from brewery, not balanced, not complex, too sweet, hazy, good head, nothing special, needs to be revised

3.3
Lubiere (14133) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 24, 2008
A dark ruby brown ale with a nice lacing light moka head. Interesting aroma of coriander, lemon, cinnamon and maple. In mouth, two layers of sweetness, the one from candy sugar, with its peated wood notes, typical of Belgian browns, the other layer, the sickly sweet sugar syrup, or like Paspoe said, cough syrup sweetness. Still, nice curacao notes. Alcohol burn in final. Bieropholie import, BB 21/12/11

jbrus (4989) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - APR 4, 2008
[email protected] Raisin and jasmin aroma. Ruby color, beige small head, good lace. Very sweet, light bitter, jasmin, spiced, maple syrup? Very sticky, sparkling, light warming. Too sweet but overall interesting.

BartC (727) - Lichtaart, BELGIUM - DEC 4, 2007
A dark brown beer with a nice lacy beige head. Aroma is very vinious. Also some sourness and after a while some dark fruits. Nice sweet fruity flavors. Some alcohol (at the end), burned caramel and malts. Maybe a bit to much?
