Sweetish aroma has plums and cherries. Flavour is a bit sweetish too and it has plums and sweet malt. One weird brew, I’d say. 7+3+6+3+13 = 3.2
75 cl bottle vintage 2008? @ Timo A, BBE 2011?
Aroma is sweetish with aged raisins and toffee. Flavour is sweet with lots of sugar and raisins. Also some toffee. Not very fruity, feels like a typical Belgian strong. Leathery palate. Surprisingly well preserved. 7+3+7+3+14=3.4.
Plum beer doesn’t really sound like a delicacy, but this is in fact good! Sweet flavour, works better when not so chilled. Might end up on my Xmas beverage list. wekker84 (2360) - etten-leur, NETHERLANDS - JUN 6, 2011
750 ml bottle a red brown colored beer with a white head aroma fruits some sourness spicy and caramel flavor fruits plums spicy and caramel sulawang (1154) - - JUN 1, 2011
Sour lambic barnyard aromas. Has the depth and bitterness of prune, mixed with some raspberry sourness and sweetness. 1st glass was very smooth. 2nd glass the sourness started to get to me. Ultra-fine carbonation gives it a silky smooth texture and allows for easy sipping. DuffMan (10267) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - APR 2, 2011
Bottle, shared with Jeff. Hazy deep medium amber with a thick, clingy puffy golden head. Aroma is plummy fruit with spicy nuances and musty yeast. Flavours of tart plum fruit, subtle spices and yeast, and light Rainier cherries. Mouthfeel is incredibly soft and silky. Finish is sweet, but there is a light tartness that keeps things from becoming cloying. More complex than I’ve done it justice, and more enjoyable than I anticipated. If I could get more of this I would!

A fruit beer made with prunes. Not quite sure Worf would call it a warrior’s drink. manuchampions (1244) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 16, 2011
Bottle from 16th St. Liquor in West Vancouver. Poured a hazy light brown with a small head. Aroma of sugar and fruit, though I had a hard time identifying it as prunes. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Flavours of sugar, prunes, yeast and bread. Finish is so-so. Decent but not outstanding. driver76 (40) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 14, 2010
Berry fruits and alcohol in the nose. Dark and slightly rose colour. Quite complex scent. Flavor has a fruity start that becomes rounder and the sweetness dies away just before it becomes too much. Dark malts and plum linger slightly before a clean finish. I normally avoid fruit beers, but this is quite appealing. Dickinsonbeer (5074) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - NOV 24, 2010
Otown Throwdown III> Shared by KP. Pours a medium clear amber with violet highlights, and a thinning hed. Aroma is prune juice, metallic, salt, plastic phenols, harsh fermented and distilled grapeskins- cognac and grappa, earthy woody and mineral. Flavor is flowery, grassy, overly ripe prunes, fruity all around, slight oxidation, plastic, wood and an astringent and metallic finish- I did not like this. presario (4916) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 21, 2010
Dark copper-amber with a light lasting foam. Aroma of yeast, plums and cheesecake. Sour fruit flavour with a dustiness to the palate. Like a plum Duchesse without the same joy but with a cheesecake residue in the aftertaste and some bark-like bitterness.
