bottle, pours hazy orange with a white head. Intrestingly hoppy nose. Sweet malt and candi sugar flavors with slight bitterness, but even the finish is sweet. The 8 percent is masked well.

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2010 Bottled at Horsens Beerfestival. Yellow/orange body with an off-white head. Aroma is spicy like ginger, cinnamon. Flavor is amazing; its actually like drinking speculoos cookies. Its sweet and its really something extraordinary. Could probably not have to much of this, but I enjoyed my glass. Re-rated as a matured bottle. This is actually a very nice beer, the complexity is better when the spice flavor has been redused during storage.

Dgust avec french tickler le 20 aot 2007. Golden light amber with a medium head. Aromas of fresh yeast and many spices, cloves, cinnamon, santal wood, musk, ginger and spice cake. Very unique aromas. Flavors are much like its aromas with added candy sugar without the musk. Well balanced and its sweetness is nice as well but lacking in the bitter department. Overall, very impressive.

In short: A weird beer of some kind. Cookies and inappropriate spiciness. Original but rather annoying.
How: Bottle 330ml, drank when 1 year old or so but still on year ahead of best-before date
The look: A small off-white head over a cloudy peach-color body with lot of particles.
In long: Nose of gingerbread. Taste is annoying in a hard to describe way. I get the cookie picture but theres a mix of those Chinese fortune cookies blending and unsuitable spiciness of ginger, coriander, cloves and what not. Floury. With that fortune cookie character and Chinese spices the beer had a strong Chinese dessert sensation and I personally didnt care for it. I really dont know that the fuck this beer is trying to be but it just isnt good. I wanted a nice cookie and I got broiled broccoli. My mother has a brewery?!?!?

A hazy orange amber ale with a thick white head. Aroma is chemical and unpleasant, like lemon pledge or Redoxon Vitamin C. In mouth, not as bad, with very sweet malt, but with a ginger overkill, yeasts and warming alcohol. Gets more intense as beer warms up. This is definitely a winter beer. BB 07/06/11.

Bottle (330ml). Via trade with glouglouburp. Very cloudy orange pour, small frothy head. Light aroma - sweet, spicy and floral, some noticeable alcohol. Taste - my thats nice - sweet, but nice - sweet spicy citrus juice, ginger ale and floral/herbal bitterness (some). Light body, mildly carbonated, a little strong with the alcohol as it warms, no unpleasantness at all in flavour or aftertaste - quite a sweet little treat! Nothing like any cookie Ive ever had, but Id try one of those speculoos if offered. (my wife said "gingersnaps!" before I showed her the bottle)
