Bottle at Craig’s. Spice is a bit overpowering, cinnamon, cloves, sweet toffee. Idiosynkrasie (7539) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - MAY 23, 2014
330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, amber colour, some tiny chunks floating around; average to huge, frothy to macro-pored, diminishing, off-white head. Sweet-ish, sugary aroma, Xmas-spicy, some biscuit. Taste is sweet, notes of biscuit and Xmas spices, lots of cinnamon, a touch of nutmeg and ginger. I can’t deny, I like ’Spekulatius’, even if they’re "liquid". langeveld12 (553) - NETHERLANDS - MAY 16, 2014
Pours an average frothy off-white head that slowly diminishes. Body is cloudy amber, sparkles and particles are visible.
Aroma contains speculoos (obviously), some malts like cookie, hay, molasses and pine, some faint hops like citrus fruits and faint yeast like dough.
Fkavor is light acidic, then massive sweet and after that a bit bitterness and acidity can be found swimming in the sweetness. Finish is a bit dry and boozy.
Body is medium to full with creamy texture and soft carbonation.
It's like a barley wine with tons of sugar and speculoos added. Too much unbalanced and not enough complexity to be a good beer, but hey, I love speculoos so I'm enjoying it anyway. KnutAlbert (6754) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 28, 2014
Bottle bought in Bruges. Gingerbread aroma, gingerbread flavour. Very sweet, of course. A dessert, not a beer. JustusBAMF (5) - - APR 25, 2014 does not count
Cold 33cL bottle, very very sweet taste, light brown colour and a good head. Overall it is too sweet and what you’d expect from cookie beer, it tastes like cookie.

Trübes bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig süß, schokoladig, hefig, würzig. Geschmack malzig fruchtig, Schokolade, leicht alkoholisch, würzig. liquidbread86 (171) - Washington DC, USA - MAR 10, 2014
Chocolate, clove, sweet, great finish, strong pleasant aroma. Really enjoyed this one. Beerheart65 (1503) - Pori, FINLAND - JAN 9, 2014
Murky mahogany (drank with yeast), thin off-white head is quite short. Belgian yeast with sweet fruits, and herbs and spices, bit soapy aroma also, interesting and unique aroma. Lots of lemon in flavor, medium light, long lemon finish, lively carbonation, sweet in a bit artificial way, tastes like Christmas cookies with all spiciness. Interesting beer but not my mug of beer. Arom promised lot more but this is unique. McNeillR (2315) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 23, 2013
Tea strained brown and wee vanilla head. All about the nose here - rich and yeasty but a constant dusty of brown sugar, crisp nutty cookie and choc. Well lit cinnamon, overspilling onto what seemed a creamy enough mouthfeel and runs riot on the finish. There’s a lot going well here, though.AndySnow (7683) - Huddinge, SWEDEN - DEC 22, 2013
