Bottle - Bready and some cinnamon spice. Cloudy yellow with a rich white head. Bready with some fruity phenols and spices. I can see the cookie bit and to be honest they hit the mark. As a beer though not that great.

Sten (754) - Westerlo, BELGIUM - SEP 19, 2013
Dark amber coloured beer with a small white head and lots of sediment (wish it was pieces of cookie). Aroma of solvent and speculoos. Flavour is quite chemical with a speculoos finish. Strange brew. (Bottle 33cl)

MrW (701) - Mechelen, BELGIUM - SEP 17, 2013
Taster from bottle @ BBW 2013 Taste of biscuit (speculaas), apple, cinnamon, appfelstrudel, somewhat creamy/cheesy. Pours hazy biscuitcolor to orange, white dense lacing head. Taste has cinnamon, biscuit, herbs, gingerbread, sweet, but something off. Bitter finish, herbs and biscuit in the aftertaste. Gives a crunchy biscuit feel. Something special but really bad when you drink a large size.

Philym (1003) - St Neots, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - SEP 14, 2013
Appearance: Hazy medium amber with cm thick white head. I don’t mind yeast in my glass normally, but it looked very unappetizing in this case. Aroma: Cinnamon, pepper, biscuit, clove and ginger. Pleasant if this was a biscuit but a bit strong for a beer, but it is a cookie beer after-all. Taste: Medium/high sweetness, low bitterness and sourness. Palate: Thick rough texture and a light body. Prickly carbonation and a sweet, sickly lingering finish. Comments: Ok for one sip but I could not drink this and ended up tipping it away. It did leave a glass lace.

Gerbeer (3795) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 22, 2013
330 ml bottle. Pours an ugly, hazy tawny color with light head. aromas of gingerbread dough. Flavors of perfume, ginger, and nutmeg. Why bother?

solidfunk (9025) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - MAY 13, 2013
This smells like cookies and everything but this is too much. Tastes like a bite of cinnamon cookie. Pours cloudy blond with ok head and some lacing. Pretty disgusting overall. Very sweet. Bottle from Viti.

Dobre i wyraznie czuc aromat ciasteczek korzennych. W smaku lekko slodkie i korzenne, cynamonowy posmak. Ciekawie to wyglada, drobinki jakby ciastek fruwaly w piwie. Piernikowo-biszkoptowe piwo. W sam raz jako dodatek do deserow. Paniom pewnie zasmakuje.

Purchased at De Bier Tempel in Brussels, Belgium, enjoyed at home in Chicago while booking travel to Brussels in the coming weeks. I thought it was fitting to drink this while doing that activity. However, this stuff wasn’t very good which kind of made the booking process painful. I can’t put my finger on it, but it’s like this one made my stomach upset. The taste is OK, it just doesn’t go down well. Better luck next time!

Lagerboy (2221) - British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 11, 2013
Hazy orange yellow, lots of unappealing chunks, lasting creamy white head. Muted aroma of yeast and sweet spices. Taste is dominated by sweet baking spices, lots of cinnamon and ginger. Lightly yeasty, toasted malts, no bitterness, cloyingly cookie sweet. Softly carbed, light-medium bodied, agressively cookied. Alcohol well hidden. Sweet and fruity finish. Very festive. NFL (Not For Lagerboys)
