33 cl. bottle sampled @ Kerstbierfestival Essen 2013. Dark brown with a tanned head. Vinous nose, sweet malts, touch red berries, sweet herbs. Taste is sweet berries, sticky caramel malts, touch herbal, red grapes, faintly vinous. Thicker malt body. Not a bad brew.

Everything the the Ecaussines Blonde isn’t is made up by the Brune. With trite but Christmas aroma made up of caramel and spices, this Belgian Brune pours dark brown with a big frothy head. It has a malty taste that leaves you licking your lips and a lingering palate that warms you from the inside! This is the reason people love Christmas so much.

Geiserich (4499) - Linz, AUSTRIA - DEC 3, 2013
Bottle: Aroma of plum compote, sourly. Dark brown color, brownis head. Flavor of ginger bread, spices, malt, light fruitiness, light bitter finish.

Oelbas (274) - DENMARK - NOV 13, 2013
---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Benzai (15486) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - JUN 26, 2013
Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Unclear hazy reddish color, small off - white head that diminishes instantly. Smell light to moderately malty, quite a lot of herbs or spices, I think cinnamon. Taste lightly malts, also quite a lot of herbs or spices amd some sweetness. Not my beer at all, way too much sweetness and herbs / spices for my liking.

DutchDrebus (5959) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - JUN 26, 2013
Bottle @ benzai. Brown colour with a small but creamy beige head. Smells lots of cinnamon, some raisins, sweet. Tastes cinnamon, sweet, raisins. In the smell the cinnamon is quite overwhelming, but it’s nice in the taste. Medium body, soft carbo.

Bottle, 8%. Tart aroma, sweet and fruity. Almost clear dark brown colour. Small stable creamy light brown head. The flavour is sweet and spicy, has some cookie, a hint of metal. The finish is quite roasted and even more spicy. Nice and flavourful and without any big flaws.
