On tap at the brewery in Frederick. Deep brown appearance with a tan head. Aroma of toasted grains, dark fruits, nutty malts, toffee and light caramel. Similar flavor, quite fruity for a brown ale, adding notes of grape and berries. Not really what I look for in this style. Ratman197 (15228) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - SEP 21, 2014
On cask at Echo poured a clear reddish brown with a small lingering tan head. Aromas of caramel, cocoa and fruitiness. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of caramel, cocoa, light fruitiness and light earthiness with a smooth lingering caramel finish. onceblind (10339) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUN 16, 2012
Clear rusty amber, no head. Not even "brown". Aroma was kinda nutty and earthy but faint overall. Taste was a little light, and a little on the average-brown-ale side, with faint nuttiness and some earthy toffee sweetness.
