COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with Pale, Munich, and Wheat, Canopus has a nice golden color. Medium malt body lends to a crisp hop bite followed by a nice big hop flavor from Simcoe and Centennial dry hopping.

Bottle:   Orangish with nice head and lacing, white and frothy.   Soft hop nose, not a lot of wheatiness.   Seems straight up IPA to me.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Super clean.   This one says to me only IPA, not much comes across as wheaty.   Perhaps very faint.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Soft citrusy IPA, not all that bitter, moderate bitterness, clean, and very easy to drink.   India Wheat Ale...huh?   Ok, well, enjoyable but where was the wheat?

Bronze amber body, decent head. Nice bitter leafy-forward aroma with some floral touches. The flavor is of Centennial pellet hops. Nice bitter flavor throughout with floral flair and on the dry-side, but not parching. Sessionable and very solid IPA with some American ESB like balance.

Flight pour on tap at the brewery and connected pub (Portland, OR). Pours a richer amber orange nectar hue, catching a bit of sunset glow with a gentle haziness, some good lively bubbles through the body and creamy offwhite head atop that films and rings liberally, solid lacing. Aromas show a bit of earthy and pithy citrus appeal, florals meet subtle grapefruit, faint waft of gumball and that telltale Simcoe life. Cleaner, gentle malt appeal with some fuzziness. Initial shows a touch less body than Orbiter, pressing fuzzy and tropical appeal on the palate. Fruity, tropical and a bit of gumball and pineapple meet the palate. Nothing overpowering as some fuzziness, bitter florals and pith support the cause. Honeydew and gentle cantaloupe life with some fuzziness, more mellow cereal grainy malt profile and some sufficient bitterness and more melon ball flavors work. Good flavors, more gentle appeal with some pretty nice drinkability despite a close to 7 percent ABV. A bit lacking on the bitter backend and finish but I think it allows that fruity melon profile to show more gracefully. Goes kinda in the opposite direction of Orbiter but offers a fun package in it’s own right. A more mellow nose with a good pretty pour, fruity hop expressions and lighter body. A touch lacking on bitterness but pretty tasty overall. Unique melon ball appeal.

Bomber - the appearance is clear light copper liquid with a big fluffy wheat colored head. The aroma is very light but notes of tropical fruit, orange sherbert and a tiny whiff of pine. The flavor is much more intense with citrus, grass and a touch of pine on the finish.

22oz bomber. This was lying on its side in my refrigerator. When I opened it, I lost a little due to foaming. Pour resulted in a thick, long-lasting head. Nose is biscuit and citrus. Pine and malt appear in the taste. Crisp mouthfeel and nice bitter finish.

Brentv (683) - Portland, Oregon, USA - NOV 8, 2015
Pours golden from bomber with a white head. Citrus hops on the nose. Taste has a dry hoppy flavor with some bitterness in the taste and the finish. Hops dominate, though there is some malty complexity as well.

Draft pour pint at Frankies pizza. Pours a clear golden color with a quick fading head. Soft orange fruit, mild hops aroma. Cool, orange fruit flavor. Very refreshing. Above average IPA for sure. Good beer here
