COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
As the winter sun hangs low in our sky, some 93 million miles away, solar filaments, giant arcs of cool, dense plasma explode from its surface. Filament Winter IPA celebrates this cosmic wonder. Pale, Munich and Caramel malts create a rich malt character with a honey-like flavor. A bounty of Crystal, Chinook and Centennial hops combine to lend spicy, citrus hop notes.

22 oz bomber bough from "Lifesource" in Salem OR $4.99 Pours a clear dark orange with a very large bubbly yet thick and creamy head. Rich and malty noce, bready, honeyish but also hops put in a good appearance citric.slight resin. Flavour is decidely on the malt side and is pretty sweet almost too candy sugar sweet for my liking...Sweet toffee..a little hop in the end..not really my thing. Moutheel is OK..the best thing is the hops show up after the beer goes down the gullet. Not impressed..its not bad but not something i would look out again.

Bottle - Bright citrus peel and some light herbal notes. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Citrus and some bitter malty notes with a touch of herb.

650ml bottle @ Matt’s. Pours a hazy amber colour with a creamy head that. Nose is sweet, herbal, and what I suspect is a citrus note. Flavour is just a bitter mess of no. I’m sorry, there is nothing redeeming here.

650ml bottle at Matt’s. Pours a hazy amber with a tan head. Aroma is sweet with some strange herbally notes. Same very weird taste. Baaad.

Hazy, amber. thin head. It foamed right up, and ends up being quite infected on the nose. Not sure what’s up, but it’s infected. Burnt electrical wire and phenolic paints and shit. Fizzy. Same infected issues. Yikes. Can’t drink this.

mcberko (17841) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 30, 2017
22 oz. bottle, seems infected as it pours a cloudy dark orange with a massive beige head with too good retention. Aroma is loaded with spicy hops, tons of yeast, and sulphur. Flavour is very yeasty, with earthy hops, muddy yeast soup and sulphur. Obvious something wrong with this. Not impressive.

CObiased (499) - Bayfield, Colorado, USA - FEB 26, 2017
Bomber - it pours a clear golden amber liquid with a thick straw colored head. A malty aroma with a citrus hopped overtone. Decent hop bouquet with notes of citrus and pine. Generous malts (caramel and bready) for an IPA. Long lingering bitterness.

Fatehunter (2567) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - DEC 30, 2016
Pours a finger of head on a hazy darker straw body. Aroma is candied lemon and pine. Nice. Taste is grainy, some spice and malty. Texture is crisp.

Citizen Six, Seattle. Thick foam, light hazed brown-orange. Big, punchy pine hop and winter spice. Warming, bitter, full hops and a lovely big malt body. Really tasty and well done execution on concept.

22 oz bottled 4 months ago, purchased at Bullfrog Wine & Spirits. Hazy amber appearance with a fluffy, lingering beige head. Aroma of toasted grain, pine, grass, light caramel/toffee and nutty malts. Pretty similar in flavor, adding a light spicy, moderate bitterness and balanced by a light to mild malt sweetness. Medium bodied and pretty easy to drink with a light dry finish. Not bad, drinking much better than their Orbiter IPA of the same age.

3.1
Ernest (7696) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAR 25, 2016
Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is light to medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, cookie), lightly hoppy (grapefruit). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Very dull aroma (maybe not fresh?), but a decent flavor balance. Ok but pretty uninteresting.
