rayaron (1997) - Kfar Saba, ISRAEL - JAN 30, 2016
Bottle 750ml. Clear yellow with quickly diminishing white head, quite fizzy. Aroma of pear, apple and sulfur. Sweet flavor with notes of pear, apple, sulfur and and white wine, sourish finish. Very carbonated, light-bodied. Easy to drink.

Big bottle shared at home away from home from Simply in Strasbourg. As Cidre & Poire. Clear light golden with no head and barely any visible carbonation. Quite sweet apple and pear juice, also quite some fruity sourness with almost lemon juice like sharpness. Light grassy and mineral, and in the background there’s a light earthy touch. Mainly very juicy though. Under medium sweet and sour. Thin bodied with low fizzy carbonation.

Gurthnar (6199) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - OCT 31, 2015
Bottle at SISGA 2015. Initially sweet, but then somewhat dries out by slight fruity acidity. Thin bodied and quite simple straightforward, but tasty and moreish. Good.

Bottle. Pours clear yellow color with bubbles. Aroma of pears, red apples and some funky odors. Sweet, fruity, a bit artificial and sugary, light sour notes in aftertaste, dry-ish finish. Drinkable.

GoufCustom (2175) - HONG KONG - DEC 2, 2014

330 ml bottle bought at CitySuper in Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui.

Clear light golden colour; Razor thin head and residual soapy white foam which fades in 5 seconds; Minimal sticky lacing and slight carbonation; Very fragrant aroma of pear flesh and juice, with apple puree, sugar, faint wood and faint tannic; Medium sweet taste of pear flesh, with strong yoghurt tartness, strong wood barrel and light tannic; Light body. Thin and very tart palate; Mouth feel is fresh pear puree in light winey background. Strong yoghurt tartness being balanced with just right fruity sweetness. Fruity palate throughout with strong woody presence. Nice!… Fairly dry after taste. Fruity sweet and quite tart to mouth.

Comments: The essence of pear wine is here, with very strong pear and apple freshness and cider tartness. I am a fruity cider fan so I enjoy it quite naturally, if only a bit more booze will do this one more wonders. Enjoyable!

750 ml bottle. Pale yellow body, minimal short-lived head. Aroma has green apple peel and some light vanilla. Sweetish taste with apples, pears and some hints of peach. Good balance - not overly sweet or too woody/tannic.

minutemat (6062) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 14, 2014
33cl bottle from Les Crepes de Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours very pale yellow, exceedingly sweet, sugary pear taste. Has an artificial, chemical pear flavour and perhaps a touch of apple fruitiness but really just way too sweet for me to be enjoyable.

Marduk (8401) - Reval, ESTONIA - MAR 18, 2014
750ml bottle. Clear golden color. No head, non expected. Leather, vanilla, toffee in aroma. Apples, juicy, sweet, toffee in taste. Dry mouthfeel.
