On tap at Eddyline, light yellow-orange color. Smells great, very piney hop aroma, whew it was intriguing. Unfortunately the taste did not live up to the smell. A sort of biscuity cracker malt flavor and none of the beautiful hops I smelled. Not a bad beer but the aroma was a quite tease and then the taste was a let-down.

A Beautiful Example Of A Clean Pale Ale. The Wonderful Piney Aroma Is Matched Perfectly With The Mango And Passion Fruit Bomb Brought On From The Amarillo Hops. Oakes (18851) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 10, 2011
Golden-amber. Lightly caramelly aroma. Spicy palate, a bit astringent/harsh but otherwise decently balanced. Beershine (5253) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 10, 2011
Draft @ brewpub. Bright coppery gold and glassy with some lace. Weak, timid aroma offers only mild fruity hops. Mushrooms, earth in the body give it a British feel. The soft mouthfeel also helps with that. After getting over the initial surprise of how mushroomy it is, it’s quite a nice homage to British pale ale. 10 ounce sample on tap at the brewpub. Initial citrus lemon aroma with mild piney hop notes present. A bit of biscuit maltiness is also detected. Pretty straight-forward. Mildly hazy golden orange colored body with an off-white head that is small. Starts a little astringent, which gives way to some piney hop flavors. Lightly catty hop flavors along with some toasted malts follow. Hoppier and more bitter than expected. Decent.

Tap at the brewery. Clear and dark. Rich white head. Nose is very light hops. Taste is the same, with a very light almost watery body. It’s refreshing but doesn’t quite get to the "pale ale" status. Just too light for the style. BeerandBlues2 (13814) - Escondido, California, USA - NOV 6, 2009
Draught. Pours clear orange with an average, fizzy white head, mostly lasting with good lacing. Aroma is average malt (caramel, cookie), heavy hop (flowers, pine, citrus), average yeast (sweat) with notes of grape, apple, and pear. Medium bodied, sticky texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness. drjay44 (3830) - Salida, Colorado, USA - JUL 22, 2009
Draft at the Brewery. Tasted 7/20/09. Pours a white head over a dark yellow (SRM 10) clear body....nose is pine and grapefruit.....taste is lingeriing pine and grapefruit....mouth feel is very light. This has all the right characteristics of the style. The problem is that the ingredients inntentionally were used with a light hand. The result was not a good as it could have been.
