The very first beer we ever brewed, in winter, before we had full power supply, hence the name. It’s a Belgian classic fermented at high temperatures to bring out all those great saison yeast characteristics. Big aromas of fruit and spice carry through into the flavor. The result is hearty and complex, yet wholly drinkable.

DwarfeD (3442) - Amersfoort, NETHERLANDS - MAY 28, 2017
33cl bottle at home. Somewhat hazy golden with a medium white head. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Well balanced sweet and bitter tones. Citrus, grass, herbs and yeast. Tasty.

Geiserich (4494) - Linz, AUSTRIA - APR 28, 2017
Bottle: Aroma and taste ist yeasty with artificial sugar notes and some strange notes. Not my beer.

Fules (1186) - Gyöngyös, HUNGARY - MAR 30, 2017
Hatalmas, tartós hab, félbarna szín. Enyhén mézes, virágos, gyümölcsös illat. Mézes, gyümölcsös, gyógynövényes ízvilág. Könnyed, közepesen szénsavas, enyhén keserű. Kissé üdítős jellegű, frissítő sör.

UPDATED: MAY 6, 2017 Kolor: Bursztynowy, klarowny. Piana: Biała, drobnopęcherzykowa, o średniej trwałości, ładnie zdobi szkło. Zapach: Sfermentowane jabłka, białe winogrona, przyprawy gdzieś tam w tle. Smak: Na samym początku odrobina słodyczy, potem kwaśność i na końcu zalegająca goryczka. Moim zdaniem piwo słabo trafiające w styl i ogólnie kiepskie.

Doesn’t leave an impression of a belgian beer, possibly lacks the belgian yeast taste. Aroma medium. A bit sour, but alright.

EvNa (298) - NETHERLANDS - DEC 31, 2016
UPDATED: DEC 31, 2016 Bottle. Color: Clear amber, off white head. Taste: Fruity, starting on the sweet side and turning fast to more citrus bitter. Hints of yeast, apples and flowers. Refreshing. Pretty much carbonation.

Rotin (1433) - Neratovice, CZECH REPUBLIC - DEC 24, 2016
Draught at BeerGeek Bar. Clear, pale amber colored. AROMA- fermented, honey, malty, apples, spicy. FLAVOR- slightly sweet, spicy, caramel malts, apples, apricots and peaches. Fuller bodied.

Ascelja (1428) - Neratovice, CZECH REPUBLIC - DEC 21, 2016
Tap at BeerGeek. Amost clear amber body, high white head. Aroma of roses, apples, hips, honey, liqueur. Taste is neutral with very gentle sweetness behind. Flowers, resiny, yeast, liqueur, touch of caramel. Full body, high carbonation.
Nicely balanced amber saison.

On tap. I was not impressed. Some lacing (now that I think if it, does this even matter?), subdued aroma, minor foaming. Lingering aftertaste which devolves over time. Sorry, this one is a pass....meaning I won’t drink it again.
