Unclear dark brown colour with a small average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate ti heavy malty, roasted, caramel, choclate malt, light nutty. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, burnt malt, dark roasted, coffee, nutty. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.
A hazy brown beer with a thin light brown head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of caramel, but also some notes of hops. The flavor is very light - a little like a Newcastle Brown, but still with a better body which makes for a far better beer. The flavor is malty and roasted with notes of caramel and nuts. oh6gdx (26488) - Vasa, FINLAND - AUG 10, 2012

Deep amber colour, not too much head. Aroma is raisins, some fruits and mild syrupy sweetness as well. Flavour is nutty, fruity, raisins, some mild syrupy notes as well as mild toffee and wood.
Bottled at RBESG. Nut brown. Sweet and roasty with medium body. The mouthfeel is clean and rounded, it has notes of coffee and some vinuos character. Somewhat syrupy finish. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 19, 2007
(Bottle 50 cl) Hazy, nutty brown with a small, off-white head. Roasted, nutty aroma. Medium body with odd vitamin-like notes. Lightly burned edge while the finish is dry. 100507

Bottle. (Thx to Papsoe) The copper-colored, almost clear body is topped by an off-white head. Slightly burnt aroma, with notes of coffee and a little oxidation. The flavor is roasted, a bit sweet and malty. Full body. The oxidation in the aroma is probably due to the beer being aged some months past BB-date, yet it is a quite good brown ale. Bottled, 500ml from Beers of Europe, Norfolk. Deep brown with cream head. Quite a sweet start to this with a nutty aside, like a Cadbury’s whole nut bar, there is a chocolate note within the malt, which then complicates to a husky coffee. This is all bound together by the sweetness though, which dominates a little for me. Good though. Rune (12814) - Tromsø, NORWAY - OCT 16, 2016
500ml bottle shared with Finn at Tuckers Maltings Visitor Centre. Solid lacing from a stable fawn-coloured head. Deep, rosewood coloured body. Aroma of herbal hops and walnuts. Mixed taste of nuts, dark fruits, chocolate and caramel. Sweet malty ending. Pleasing, rather sweet though (Newton Abbot 27.09.2016).
