Certified organic? Damn Gena. This is one of the best "organic" beers I’ve had. Unique flavor - slight sweetness, roasty, alcohol... nice!
Black-bodied, chocolate head. Sweet, salted chocolate and anise nose that seems a bit saccharine. Body is chocolate, caramel, buttery, salty, with some venous notes. High amounts of residual sugars make this one too sweet on the palate, but it could benefit from 1.5 years or more of aging as the parts all seem to be there. Deep mahogany red, almost black, with a frothy tan head, solid retention and modest lace. Coffee/espresso aromas with hints of dark fruit and anise. Flavor is similar, only more pronounced, as the chocolate makes a much more significant appearance. Roasted malts, hints of oatmeal, and a mild ripe dark fruitiness round it out. Full body, silky smooth mouthfeel, moderate carbonation, warming alcohol, and a lingering bittersweet dark chocolate. hawthorne00 (3952) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - APR 12, 2017
2015 bottle. Almost back with a tan head that fades to a fat coat. Aroma of mocha (maybe a hint of roasted malt, but really mocha), licorice, prunes, vanilla. Sweet and rich with a surprising earthy touch. Some nice dried fruit before a finish that’s at first just bitter enough to tidy up the sweetness. Alcohol is fairly well hidden. Bitterness creeps up a fair bit. Pleasant enough, if a little jumbled. drpimento (3639) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 20, 2017
I’ve had this a couple of times now and the second time I didn’t like it as much. Its almost good but there’re a couple of offl flavors that just clash. sebastokrator (122) - - FEB 26, 2017
Pours a nice black with a good amount of brown head. Nose is chocolate and just a hint of chocolate. Typical weak malt. Taste is chocolate, coffee, raisin, molasses and just a bit of bitterness. Medium bodied and surprisingly bubbly. There isn’t anything wrong with this but there isn’t anything special either.

From tap @ Taphouse.
Pours black with a slightly tan white head. Aroma is spot on how I like imperial stouts, roasted malts and some sweet coffee aroma. Taste is a tad disappointing, in that it dissappears white quickly. But sweet black malts, some licorice and vanilla. Still a nice beer though. GlasgowTAD (1778) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - DEC 19, 2016
Tap at Taphouse. Pours deep brown with a burgundy tinge and no head. Aroma is cocoa, vanilla and fudge. Taste is cocoa bitter, fruity coffee, vanilla sweet, raisins. the Desverger (11455) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 19, 2016

, Copenhagen - black pour with beige head. Sweet and medium roasted malty with cocoa, caramel, hoppy backing, sweet toasty finish.
Bottle- pour is a rich chocolate brown with no light penetration and milk chocolate head the quickly dissipates to a thin head rimming the beer. The aroma is alcohol, caramel, and heavy roasted grains. The taste is initially sweet, raisins, chocolate, prunes, and toasted grains. The finish is slightly sweet, and strong malts. Overall a great sipping beer for a cold winter night. Imaena (2327) - Maputo, MOZAMBIQUE - OCT 9, 2016
Bottle. Nice thick and rich imperial stout. Deeply roasted and well composed if a little unidimensional.
