0.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
dull lifeless euro cooking lager.
no head. limp body. weak bread flavour.
twist off cap. weird bottle.
28-09-2017; bottle; at home (bought somewhere on the road from Thessaloniki to Istanbul, somewhere it Turkey).
The beer looks rather simple. It looks like any other Pale Lager. The beer has a pale yellow colour. On top of the beer some rough white foam is formed. Foam retention is average. After a wile a thin drape is left. The beer is quite clear. Not to special.
The smell of the beer is simple. It isn't bad, but it has nothing special. It als isn't to strong. I smell some simple sweet malts, together with some nice refreshing hops. The hops are nice for a Pale Lager; they are quite strong and aromatic, giving nice fresh fruity and some herbal notes.
The taste of then beer is also pretty simple and similar to the smell. Some sweet simple malts and rather nice hops. The hops give some nice acidic notes, but also a nice fruity sweet touch. The beer is well balanced. However, it misses something special. It is to ordinary.
The palate of the beer is average. Medium light body, smooth texture and medium carbonation. The finish has some nice citrusy hops in it, together with some simple malts. All in all, a good Pale Lager. Some nice hop note, but overall quite simple. Nicer than the regular Efes though. rouhlas (3736) - GREECE - SEP 19, 2017

euro lager do bólu, nic sie nie dzieje woda z posmakami słodu. bez wad bez smaku, nijakie visionthing (5495) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUN 20, 2017
50cl bottle from a minimarket near the train station in Baku and enjoyed at the night train to Sheki. As expected the usual grainy pale lager aroma. Notes of vegetables and possibly traces of hops too. Not as bad as expected, actually I think so I prefer it to the regular Efes. Drinkable enough when cold. caribou43 (1151) - Lausanne/Sevilla/Lima, SWITZERLAND - JUN 5, 2017
I bought this bottle in one Turkish supermarket in Lausanne. I drank it yesterday before the meal at home. In my point of view, there is nothing special with this beer, industrial product without surprise like the mainstream news papers telling the same silly things since years. The color is yellow and gold, normal carbonation for the style, thin and white head. The taste has notes of syrup of malt, corn, sweet, almost no hop, artificial side, watery, not my cup of tea.

50 cl. can. Clear light-yellow/straw coloured with a minimal and quickly disappearing white head. Aroma is pale malts (hay and cereal) and some rice. Taste is medium sweet, it has almost no bitterness with a very light sourness. It is light bodied and thin textured. Carbonation is soft to medium, watery mouthfeel. Finish a bit sticky, mostly sweet, slightly sour. It is water for summer. sir__v (2630) - FRANCE - AUG 26, 2016
