1.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle brown, 330 ml, 11 P
Appearance: Pours pale yellow with some strange elements floating in the body texture, looks very wattery, carbonation of the body is low and saturation is moderate to weak, head is greyish white, rocky to fizzy, initially small to medium slowly decreasing to a minimal froth floating on the body surface, what is surprising is quite nice rim of lacing around the glass.
Aroma: Burned plastic, rubber, diacetyl, rice, rye, gentle touch of thin grains, cereal, notes of gentle lemon and some light strawy not of hop origin though very low, dusty and papery.
Flavour: Wattery front, slight saltyness and rust, alcoholic in a moderate way, slightly on the verge of being a Malt Liquor with its 5% abv. Clear Pale Lager, gentle touch of cereal grains, rice and barley. Finish duration is short.
Palate: Body is light, texture is wattery, carbonation on palate is gentle to moderate, finish feel is balanced between saltyness on the side of the tongue and additional sweetness on the front and tip of the tongue.
Sampled from 0.5 l can as ’EFES Pilsener’ at 4.9% abv from local ’LIDL’, brewed in Germany, best before May 2018. Clear, golden yellow with a thin, frothy, stable, white head. Sweetish, slightly grassy aroma of grains and some straw. Sweetish, a bit grassy-spicy taste of grains, straw and slightest hints of spicy hops, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy-spicy finish. Almost medium-bodied, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite okay, at least well-drinkable. Tezminator (225) - AUSTRALIA - JUN 19, 2017
Nice and refreshing. The grassy aroma of your average lager. Taste has some grains and corn. Sweet. Okay. MarcoBasile (328) - DENMARK - JUN 7, 2017
Pours golden and clear with a white frothy head.
Taste is slightly sweet and corny. Pale malts and subtle hops. Refreshing.
Smooth and crisp. Decent carbonation. Wendigo (467) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - MAY 31, 2017
0.5l can. Malty aroma, light cardboard notes. Clear pale yellow color, white head. Malty taste, rice notes, wet cardboard, light sour, light bitter. Light body, watery texture, average to lively carbonation and light sour and light bitter malty finish. Not good. saintbase (716) - Bydgoszcz, POLAND - MAY 20, 2017

500ml bottle served a bit too warm. Light yellow colour with fair aroma but weak taste. Also far too bubbly. basjansen14 (366) - NETHERLANDS - MAY 6, 2017

Slecht smaakloos bier. Blik versie LasseVPedersen (412) - Aarhus C, DENMARK - MAY 5, 2017
Can, 50cl. Pours pale golden colour with a fast disappearing, airy off-white head. Grainy, malty aroma with some metal. Some hints of fruits and cooked vegetables. Moderate sweety and grainy flavour with low bitterness. Watery, not much to report. Boring and quickly forgotten. Mishnok (285) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - APR 29, 2017
From keg. Golden amber with good head and high carbonation. Quite a biscuity, sweet malt taste. Not the best pilsner by any means, but acceptable none the less

From old tasting notes. Deep yellow gold. Rocky white head. Assertive dry hop aroma. Faint sweet malt flavor. Dry finish is mildly tangy.
