Bottle 33cl from Quack-Duck. A cloudy brown beer with huge head and good lace work. Nose is on caramel and slightly metallic. Aroma is on blond caramel, medium creamy, medium sweet, quite smooth, herbal hops, medium bitterness, pleasant. enidlesim (74) - - JAN 30, 2015
Local rewe in suedstadt karlsruhe. Pours rich brown reddish with a nice off white head. Taste of black currants and malt, moving towards a chocolately palette with bitterness which takes the edge off the malty sweetness. Good solid beer. shrubber85 (11615) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - JUN 21, 2008
Swing-top bottle. Toffee malt aroma. Reddish brown color with minimal head. Toffee malt and grass hops flavor. Nicely made - not especially exciting though. Koelschtrinker (21489) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - JUN 19, 2011

bottle from a local Rewe. Hazy brown colour, mid-sized off-white head. Caramelly start, slightly sweet with a touch of honey and chocolate, also shy fruity hints. Hoppier in the finish. Smooth and easy-drinking beer.

reddish dark amber colour, moderate sized off-white head; aroma of bready-dried fruity and caramel notes with some minimal ash; taste is the same with sourish notes; correct beer for moderate price harrisoni (19318) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - MAR 10, 2016
Bottle from Cotteridge Wines and drunk at home. Clear dark brown red beer with a lasting cream head. It’s a little sweet if I’m honest. OK though. Some sweet malt, not much fruit, some dark fruits, not great depth but to be honest it’s fine, not as good as the Faust Schwarz before it. Not much hop, ok carbonation. Fine. Thanks to the Doppelbock for this bottle. A very sweet smell, some ginger, light malty. Overall a nice aroma. A small off-white fizzy-creamy head, rather short lasting. The body is -no surprise-red. Startet sweet, but a few seconds later it gets a lot more bitter. The duration is rather long. The body is medium, very dry with a soft carbonation and an moderate astringent finish. A nice and interesting beer. Grima (2506) - Merzkirchen, RLP, GERMANY - JUN 24, 2011
The beer in the glass is dark and slightly hazy. The smell is sweet and roasted malty. Starts with lots of roasted malts, slightly sweet, with hints of caramell. The aftertaste is very malty sweet. The further course gets more mild and palatable, the sweet malts grow up, very much! Hugi (475) - Waldkirch, GERMANY - NOV 3, 2011
500 ml bottle. Pours rather brown then red (as its name suggests) and a bit hazy. Probably a little hint of redness. Nevertheless it looks quite good because of its big and frothy head. Smells spicy, floral/grass or even a bit roasty. tastes really spicy, a bit roasty too. medium bodied and average carbonization. at the end palatable bitterness but not so much taste of the hops. quite good.
