Hurricane is a tropical storm originating in the North Atlantic Ocean, rotating in the opposite direction to a cyclone. This IPA showcases punchy American hops – Simcoe, Citra and Mosaic – making it a fruit, lemon and pine taste bomb. Get it now while it’s Hurricane season: this Category Five brew will do more than tickle the taste buds. Tasting notes: Colour/appearance: pours a deep orange colour. Aroma: intense aroma of mango and passionfruit. Flavour: the juicy tropical fruit aroma carries through to the tastebuds, with strong hop flavours of mango, stone fruit and passionfruit along with some resinous pine notes. There is a good biscuit malt backbone to balance out the aromatic hops. Food pairings: this aromatic ale works wonders with spicy Mexican flavours.

Bottle, Autumn 2017. Caramel, sugar, sweet apples, green jelly, only light resin, underlined bitterness. I miss the hops, to be frank.

Pours deep gold/orange with white head. Caramel, toffee, citrusy aroma. Really good malty backbone with caramel and toffee, great hop flavour with citrus, orange, pine. Medium to high bitterness. Really good IPA, lots of American hops and great malt profile. Great aroma, mflavour and great bitter/toffee/hoppy aftertaste. Great beer.

Keg @Cimmeria, Oviedo. 06-09-2017.
In short: fruity bitter ale.
DId I enjoy it: yes.
Pours hazy deep gold-orange with frothy white head, creamy. Long head retention, good lacing. Fruity nose, mango, peachy, citrusy, some herbal. Medium body, average carbonation, slick texture. Taste is hop forward, peachy, citrusy, quite bitter, some dry finish. Enjoyable.

kaserov (1156) - Oviedo, SPAIN - AUG 24, 2017
Textura acuosa. Aroma a fruta tropical, cítricos, toques herbales, grano. Seca.

mateuszk (2769) - Poznań, POLAND - AUG 3, 2017
Bottle. Similar to other brews from this brewery I had. Rather malty, with weak hop presence (probably due to the age of beer) with hints of citrus and mango. Balanced bitterness and dry finish.

HogTownHarry (7287) - Toronto (Harbourfront), CANADA - AUG 1, 2017
September 2, 2015 - with blankboy and gregclow, courtesy of garthicus - 330ml bottle. Clear amber-gold with a decent small foamy off-white head. Very fruity aroma, with oily grain and citrus/citrus zest; solid, if restrained. Nice bite to the taste - mostly citrus zest, with intense slow-building pungent bitterness - like really really bitter, pine cone bitter ("tastes Irish! ’cuz it’s GREEN??"). Average body, very astringent, airy and lively, with a long, long sharp and coating bitter pith/sap bitter finish and aftertaste. Jagged as hell, but points for being ballsy.
