Black beer, thin head. Flavour is fairly mellow. Earthy malt, toasty, charcoaly. A touch of caramel and perhaps a little hoppiness in the aftertaste. nothing spectacular but smooth and tasty.

From tap @ In De Wildeman, appropriately on St. Patricks Day. Black color, Dense beige head. Aromas of roasted malts, light drop/licorice and chocolate. Retronasal: firm roast, mocha, light chocolate and fruit. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter. Light bodied. Long finish, with firm roast, almost ashy, moderate bitter. Nice.

Bottle from the Good Spirits Co Wine & Beer. Pours dense black with generous tan head. Nose is burnt malt, also quite creamy, a little earthy. Taste is slightly sweet, but with loads of bitter roasty notes plus hops in the finish. Palate is a bit empty. A very decent stout.

What a tasty beer. And very light to boot. Irish Dry Stout is something I will look out for more. Tap at Oproer.

Pitch black, reddish highlights, weak white head. Smell is ash bitterness with some yoghurt and cheese. Pine too. Taste is bitter watery and very nicely balanced. Ashy with very subtle coffee and chocolate. Nice.

Bouteille 33cl, V&B Grenoble.
