Bottle from my Secret Santa Beersiveknown. Thanks Steve! Clear deep golden colour. I like this very much. Clean backbone with no malty nonsense. High bitterness and full hoppy aroma and flavour. Resiny zesty grapefruit and slightly grassy.

330 ml bottle at PJ O’Briens in Sydney. Bottle date 26-06-16.

Poured clear golden colour, clear. Aroma of American citrusy hops with some tropical fruit. Taste was a balance of malt and bitter hops, with some fruitiness. Overall, not a bad IPA but nothing outstanding. The 6% ABV is well hidden. Considering it is a single malt IPA, there is good malt complexity. The hops are not as clean as I’d like in the style.

Nose is pine and resinous heft with some nice roasted malt sweetness. Slightly spicy aroma of fresh cut Thai chilis or local chili padi.

Palate is aggressively hoppy with pine, resin and hyssop finish. The somewhat under-represented malt backbone has some nice roasty malt flavors.
