bartlebier (3946) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - APR 4, 2017
33cl Granate bb11/2017. - Deep barley yellow. Sweeitish barleysugar metallics in aroma with a surprisingly present fume nose - ,maybe some powder vanilla in the pwder sugar, with some goodwill ; taste is fully barley sugars, stopping short of becoming more engaging honey pops - and again that macro-metallic tinge, with again some alcohol fumes. Grasses, barley, minimal charm coming in retronasal when it’s too late. Annoying oily mouthfeel that my palate is sensitive to. - - There’s a buried supermarket lemonade in there as well, and it does alloy with a certain hoppiness...but you do not want to let it warm to find out how (Turkish Sprite Hallertau Nettle Ed.). - Why is this still well-regarded as a seasonal?

peponi (1842) - Hannover, GERMANY - MAR 12, 2017
Aroma: malty and weak herbal notes. Appearance: golden color and white head. Taste: weak herbal bitterness, malty, caramel, some herbal notes, semi-dry. Palate: medium body and medium carbonation. Overall: Really nice maibock, balanced.

Grumbo (2846) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - FEB 11, 2017
Bottle received in trade with Erzengel. Pours clear deep amber with a moderate lasting off-white head. Aroma of malt, sweet caramel, touch of treacle and dark fruit. Medium plus sweetness, low bitterness. Medium body, sticky texture, soft carbonation. Finish picks up on some warming chocolate notes. Very drinkable.

gopherfan99 (1776) - Minnesota, USA - JAN 17, 2017
Bottle; pours clear amber with an off white head; caramel aroma with some bread, citrus, and some floral hints; taste is sweet with caramel, citrus, and bread; finish is mostly dry with a hint of alcohol warming

Foxbush (2008) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - JAN 2, 2017
Edmund’s Oast Guest beer The Heller Bock poured a clear amber color with an off-white head and lacing. This is an attractive bock. There was some light sweet caramel malt on the nose. The taste is malty. The bock has a medium body with average carbonation. Nice clean finish.

Grumpelmies (318) - North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - DEC 9, 2016
Bottle. Reddish golden. Not a lot of head. Smell: sweet malt. Taste: sweet malt, toffee and a dash of honey. Some hops provide a nice bitterness in the background. Good carbonation. Finish is quite long and warming. You can tell there is some alcohol in there...Nice. Could drink this all night long but that would soon get dangerous...

klukas (268) - Rijeka, CROATIA - OCT 28, 2016
Enjoyed: Poured from a bottle into a mug. Appearance: Deep amber colour, with small foam. Aroma: Dog-food and cardboard with hint of alchohol or even caramelized sugar or cake with rum ?!? Palate: Medium body; medium carbonation. Taste: Sweet, caramel, with alcoholic moderate bitter aftertaste. Overall impression: Solid beer for enjoyment; cute bottle.

m7hildeb (177) - - OCT 25, 2016
UPDATED: OCT 25, 2016 Bottle. Clear dark golden to amber colour with a medium white head, nose is fresh, grassy and a little sweet, reminds of mashed apples, taste is sweet at first with some cardboard notes and a quite dry, adstringent finish.

czlowiekwiadro (940) - POLAND - SEP 25, 2016
zapach przyjemny, dość intensywny, mocno słodowy, lekko miodowy, silne nuty chlebowe. do tego gdzieś w tle jakieś lekkie zielone, ziołowe nuty. kolor głębokiego złota, może lekko wpadający w pomarańcz, klarowny, ładny, piana biała średnia, średnio obfita i raczej nietrwała. w smaku pełne, słodowe, chlebowe, biszkoptowe, z lekkimi nutami nieprzypalonego karmelu, odrobiną kurzu i alkoholowego posmaku. goryczka niska do średnio niskiej, ale zauważalna, głównie ziołowa, z karmelowymi i alkoholowymi nutami. całość posiada dość ostrawy, lekko pryzprawowy posmak. nasycenie średnie do średnio wysokiego.
