Kolor ciemnej herbaty, piana na początku duża, dość szybko znika. Aromat słodowy, podobnie smak, finisz wytrawny. Niezłe luttonm (6763) - Seattle, Washington, USA - OCT 4, 2017
Bottle in Seattle. Clear, dark rosy copper color. Small ring head. Burnt caramel grain and stale rye bread nose. Fairly sweet note up front, would some stickiness around edges, with a dry leathery richness to the finish. Cool, alcoholic grain dominates, a bit bitter. Jabic (702) - Plainfield, Vermont, USA - OCT 1, 2017
Ar: Toasted malt and raisins; some nougat; definite oxidation. Ap: Amber-brown and cloudy; small tan head with low retention, leaves a ring of very fine bubbles and some nebulous cover. T: Tons of fruit leathers and nougat--oxidation; some toasted malt; bitterness is low, with no accompanying hop flavor; slightly warming, but clean alcohol; raisins and dried strawberries on the finish. P: Medium body with medium carbonation; finish is medium-dry. O: It is hard to get past the heavy oxidation in this beer; tons of fruit leathers and nougat, and not in much of a good way. erickok (6036) - Leuven, BELGIUM - APR 22, 2017
Red, stable head. Dusty, Christmas cake, red berries, caramel. It’s a bock. Not sweet, in fact I’d like it to be sweeter, more concentrated. It’s okay, not quite my thing. (33cl bottle traded with Bardo, thanks!)
Grumpelmies (366) - GERMANY - APR 1, 2017
Bottle. Red/brown. Nice head. Aroma is malts. Taste is malty, sweet and alcoholic. Dark fruits and caramell. Medium carbonation. It’s alright but not as balanced as the Ur-Bock. TH28 (478) - - FEB 11, 2017
330ml bottle. No apparent code date. Appearance: Deep brown with ruby red undertones, slightly hazy, and a moderate off white foam head.
Aroma: Bready, toasty, dark fruit malt notes of raisin and dates. A touch of skunky sulphur from the green bottle.
Taste: Rich malt sweetness and intense melanoidins of bread crust, toast, raisins, and dates. A touch of spiciness on the tongue. Just enough bitterness to balance.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate carbonation and touch of alcohol warmth.
Finish: very malt forward on the finish, like a raisin jame on toast.
Overall: A true German take on the style with rich melanoidins that dominate the flavor. Just enough bitterness to balance the right bread crusts and dark fruit body. Might be a little thin and the bottle adds some skunkiness, but otherwise a very good dooplebock Michael27 (2365) - Berlin, GERMANY - JAN 25, 2017
Aus der typischen Flasche getrunken (Edeka HSH). Leichte Spritigkeit dominiert über Malzsüße. Schwächelnder Körper. Cavie (4808) - Arlington, Texas, USA - JAN 21, 2017
Bottle. Green glass. Bright orange color. Clear. Skunk aroma right away; light-struck. Some malty notes past the skunk. Sweet flavor. Grains. Fairly smooth mouthfeel, creamy-slick. Bitterness is present. Crisp finish. Not enjoyable. ElDesmadre (3630) - Mikołów, POLAND - DEC 29, 2016
Bottle. Caramel, bread crust, dried fruit, wort in the aroma. Unfortunately, the flavour is boozy, alcoholic in an offensive, vulgar way, rendering this beer virtually undrinkable.
