keg @Cimmeria, Oviedo. 08-11-2017.

In short: malty sweet beer.

Did I enjoy it: more or less.

Pours little hazy light amber with forthy off white head. Moderate head retention, some good lacing. Malty, some DMS, caramel, toffee, biscuity nose. Medium body, average carbonation, slick texture. Taste is malt forward, sweet, little bready, caramel, some palate warmer notes in the aftertaste. Average.

Bottle. Aroma is grainy, malty, little bit herbs. Taste is moderate sweet, light bitterness. Flavor of bread, grain, caramel, herbs. Nice one. Pretty refreshing for its style.

Bottle. Brownish-red colored like dark copper and clear with a medium frothy tan head. Malty smell with aroma of bread and cookies and some alcohol. The taste is sweet and alcoholic and turns bitter-dry in the end. Flavor of caramel and bread is dominating. The body is surprisingly light with some alcoholic warmth.

And again a very big big thank you to kappldav123 for that 0,5 l bottle. Great label art design with hologram foil. Pours out in a murky red orange. Short living one finger head. Little bit honey and malt on the nose. Starts malty, alcoholic, herbs, mid bitterness in the second row. Caramell. Warming. Little bit sticky to the end. Nice one!

Erzengel (9629) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - NOV 11, 2014
Many thanks to kappldav123 for this bottle! Smooth malty-fresh, slightly bitter, fresh but malty. A bit sticky, not too sweetish, slightly bitter. The aftertaste is smooth-fresh, slightly bitter, malty-fresh with a nice bitter-malty ending. Nice!
