This limited-edition winter brew will make its debut in October, but this winter celebration ale is worth the wait. Malted barley and chocolate tones define the traditional style, while the robust aroma and long, mellow finish will make this the perfect companion for your holiday adventures.

Nagy, tartós hab, barna szín. Karamelles, malátás illat, némi aszalt gyümölcsös aromával. Malátás, karamelles ízvilág, pici aszalt gyümölcsösséggel és fűszeres beütéssel. Közepesen testes, erősen szénsavas, enyhén keserű. Kellemes, iható sör, de ennyi.

12 oz. bottle from Keg Liquors; My first Icelandic beer! Aroma: Moderate tootsie roll, lighter sugar smacks, a touch of maple. Appearance: Dark cola brown with very soft carbonation holding up a foamy tan head that dissipates entirely. Flavor: More bready than the nose would suggest - has the dark, somewhat spicy properties you’d expect for the style; maybe a bit on the sweet side otherwise with maple/sweet cereals; some light fruitiness thereafter, but is quickly met by a light dose of noble hops that are more drying than bitter. Palate: Light body, slick texture, soft carbonation, abrupt finish. Overall: Has some interesting traits, but also some deficiencies that hold it back from ascending to the more noteworthy examples in the style.

I poured it from the bottle into a pint glass. It pours reddish amber with an off-white head and lacing. The aroma is caramel, chocolate, and spice. The taste is caramel, earthiness, chocolate, and spice. It’s not overly sweet. There’s a decent amount of carbonation going on. This is pretty good.

Bottle from Saveur Biere. Pours chestnut brown with a ruby tint and a lasting off-white head. Aroma of malt, fruit, toffee, chocolate and bread. Medium/heavy sweetness, light bitterness, just a touch of sour. Medium body, sticky texture. Finish is lasting sweetness and sticky chocolaty mouthfeel. Nice one, and best of the 5 Einstök beers I’ve tried so far.
